Every year I make a wager on the MLB All Star game on the National League.

Usually I am in LV either the week of or before the game when they always will have a line. This year, I will not be.

I was going to speak to a sportsbook manager and find out if I can leave money with him, when the line is put on the board have the wager placed, and the money sent to me if I won.

    Are there any other options?

My online site has all the wagers for division, pennant and world series, but nothing yet for All Star. I'm sure they will when the game gets closer.

If you don't find a solution before, I'd be happy to make one online for you. Money details can be worked out.

doubtful that the manager would do that just because it would be impossible for him to keep track of stuff like that for customers, but you could definitely have your host do something like this for you.

Anything for a reason to watch the All-Star Game i guess. I agree with shifter's line of thinking as well. I would say your host is your best shot at getting that done....and I would imagine it depends on your general level of play as well.

I believe these type of bets were referred to as if come bets. I don't think they take them anymore at all.

Also, many of the sports books are run by outside companies now and a host would have little pull in most cases.

it wouldn't be like that, the host would just keep his money until the line came out and then go to the window and place the bet for him. and, yes, technically employees of the casino aren't supposed to bet, but they all do and nobody cares.

Are you referring specifically to sports book betting? Because at MSS, come end of shift, I would say the majority of CWs & bartenders hit the slots or VP inside MSS.

At Stations casinos, employees are not allowed to bet on their properties whatsoever.

No problem at MSS, but the odd thing is that the employees supposedly can't have a Player's Card. Not sure the reasoning behind that, except they couldn't get a scratch card on 4oak. Maybe there are other reasons?

When we were in Vegas in April, one of our CW friends was showing off her $1,000 ticket out she just hit before the start of her shift. She said she just sat down to have a cigarette before the start of her shift and stuck a $20 into VP.

I thought I heard that somewhere, but I think I was misinformed. I know they can't have players cards because they can't get rewards and be entered into drawings, etc as employees, but they can bet all they want.

A few years back I had a very good friend that was a poker dealer at RR, she used to play $1 denom VP after her shift there all the time, I know cause I used to play right next to her and she had a players card that she stuck in the machine too.

In Nevada, it varies by properties. I know employees at The Quad can play non-progressive slots/video poker and live poker. Not sure why the progressive thing matters, but that's what I was told by a housekeeper playing video poker.

In my home state, Missouri, no gambling at the casino you are employed at, period, as state law forbids it.
