There will be a Saskatchewan Roughriders game July 11/13 and I'm hoping to catch it while in Vegas. Is there a place where I might be able to see this game? I don't mind if there is no sound, just want to be able to at least catch the last quarter for the score. Of course I would love to see the whole game. Any Canadians ever find a place to watch their favorite CFL game while on vacation in Vegas? Thanks in advance!

    Hi Kat.
I watched the Grey Cup at the Caesar's sports book. It was on one of their big screens and no, there was no sound for this game. The sound was for one of the NFL games.
I would just ask at various sports books to see if they'll have it on or put it on.
    Good luck.

Blondies in Planet Hollywood sometimes will put up CFL games as they get a lot of Canadians there

I've faced the same issue in Vegas, wondering where I can see the 'Riders play, particularly since I am often in Vegas in the fall - playoffs.

One thing I have done is watch the game on TSN after the fact - they get rid of the ads so you can see the whole thing in an hour.

The trick is having someone else pull the feed up for you, otherwise you see the score on the website.

    Go Riders!

The american experiment, including the Las Vegas Posse, ended some time ago. There are still 8 teams going strong in Canada, probably in better financial shape than ever.

And, the number of franchises will increase by 12.5% in 2014.

What does everyone think of the name of the new Ottawa team - the Redblacks. ?:confused2:

Seriously? The Ottawa Redblacks? That's just about as original as the Ottawa Roughriders! Ottawa needs to give up the dream of having a team, remember the Ottawa Renegades? (me neither, I had to google it, lol)

No, Ottawa is really going to be back. I think Flusher was kidding with the name.
    Regardless. Go Argos.

    Yeah, I wish I was.

As the fella above me says, I think its a riff off of the Allblacks.

And a way to work the logo into a big 'R'.

(What does it say about that name that it looks like something a guy with my degenerate reputation for stupid ideas would make up??)

It wouldn't be the first time I was wrong. But, really?
No one will be happy with that name.
I think it's time to pay the piper and buy the Roughriders name back from Horn Chen.
