My best friend and I will be in Vegas for our first ever trip in July and I understand that you may walk the strip with a drink in hand.:drunk: My question is, can we leave a casino/hotel with a drink we bought from one of the bars? Can we go from one bar to another with our drink? Should we be asking for a plastic cup if we are going to walk the strip with a drink? All replies welcome, thanks in advance!

Casinos do not seem to care if you leave with good glasses.

Stand alone bar might be different.

Good glasses? Maybe I look like the type of riff-raff that would run off with a good glass and take it to another bar or casino so I've never had a good glass from a casino, on the floor, or one of their bars... just the cheap kind that they probably buy for 15-20 cents a glass that everybody has

I have heard that they all meet up regularly and exchange back the glasses they have collected from other casinos...

I can get four 500ml glasses for the equivalent of $2 in my local supermarket in the UK so I can only imagine how cheap they are bulk bought.

Don't high limit drinks end up with better glasses?

Yeah, you can get any of those glasses on the cheap from any restaurant supply house

Which should be the only place you should be buying your kitchen tools and needs

No drinks in glasses or bottles on New Years Eve, otherwise no problem.

I've had bartenders ask me if they could pour my drink into a to-go cup on one or two occasions, but otherwise it's never been a problem (although, while I've left bars inside casinos with a drink on many occasions, I don't think I've ever made it outside of the casino with one, probably since a drink wouldn't last me that long :drunk:). I did have a bartender at Revolution once tell me that they weren't supposed to let the martini glasses leave, but she let me take it with me to my room anyway.

It's OK to leave the casino with cheap glasses............however, if you leave the Margaritaville Casino with a cocktail waitress, it's like leaving with fine china.

On the Strip or in the main part of downtown you can go in, out about, around, etc. legally.

At an off-Strip bar once, I had to step out to hear a cell phone call and the bouncer said that if I kept one foot inside the door line I was legal, otherwise it was not legal to go in and out with a drink.

I am sure the casino wouldn't care if a patron left with a glass but why do it?

I would ask for a plastic cup.

I am sure any bar owner would prefer not to lose a glass.

Just got back for a quick trip to Walgreens and McDonald's with a Jack and Coke from the Cosmo. No issues at either place and my drink was in a glass.
