Hey mdee, have you stayed at Wynn since the refresh/renovations to the rooms? They still have the colorful artwork and pops of color here and there. But they have really toned down everything else. The carpet, walls, couches etc. are now all shades of cream, off-white, light tans etc. It looks kinda boring in pics. But I really like the changes. It creates a very relaxing atmosphere, IMO.

The OP did not say if he/she was going to gamble while there or not. If you are then you might want to factor in the casino's players clubs. The Wynn's Red Card is a far better club than Palazzo's Grazie in my opinion. With the rooms being about equal, the quality of the Red Card is worth the extra money a night.

Haven't stayed there since the 2X in 2010. Looking forward to my upcoming trip. Not sure why I didn't take "regular" non iPhone picts the second time.

    Nice before and afters.

I notice your updated room had two queens. Do those rooms have the cool off-white love seat? Or are they just in the king rooms?

It's $50, or about 40%, per night after Resort Fees and Taxes:

Palazzo $109 + $13 room tax = $122 (if you elect to waive resort fees).

    Wynn $130 + $15 room tax + $28 Resort Fee = $173.

I like staying at Wynn/Encore, and I have only seen but not stayed in a V/P room, but I'd pick Palazzo and save $150 for a three night stay.

I have no idea! The single room was a solo trip I took around May 2010. The double room was a trip we took Oct or Nov 2010.

My vote goes to the Wynn as well. Most of the time if you book a Wynn room they will "upgrade" you to a Encore room for free if available. The location of the Wynn never bothered me as I am used to walking NYC blocks during shopping trips so walking the Strip doesn't bother me at all. Not to mention having Fashion Show Mall across the street. While at Encore make sure to try a Sinatra Smash. :drunk:

No question...Wynn. Everything just seems a little more upscale.
