I have been to Cosmo a few times in the past but I have never stayed there. I have gambled a little at bond bar and ate at wicked spoon. I love the vibe of the hotel. My question is how is it staying there? I am booked for a few days in August. I read lots of hate for the casino on here so just curious if the hotel will be nice or not. I'm fed up with the MGM and need a change of scenery.

The rooms are very nice and if you like the casino vibe u will definitely like the rooms. Make sure u book a room with a balcony facing the B fountains. Some of the best views vegas has to offer.

I love the hotel, the bars, and the restaurants. I don't gamble in their casino at all any longer.

I've stayed at the Cosmo a few times, love it! Get a wraparound terrace suite!

Hands down my favourite place to stay; love sitting out on the terrace watching the fountains and taking in the lights of the strip. Leaving Palms today to check into Cosmopolitan so I'll be doing that tonight.

I love the casino and some of the best dealers in town. Not all tables have terrible odds but i guess it depends on what type of game you like.

I am not at all of a fan of the cosmo. It really is not vegas like, bad art, modern furniture(looks like if you sit on it you would break it), a bunch of yuppies with mommy and daddies credit card running around being rude to dealers and bartenders. Hey yuppies aren't for me Jack. Some of the yups like it because it fits them, but to each their own.:rolleyes2:

I stayed there for over 10 days straight at one point and talked to a lot of dealers. You can tell they really enjoy working there and a lot of them mentioned they loved the move over from Wynncore. Wynncore is a pretty classy place and I'm sure one of the most attractive jobs for a casino employe. So for them to be loving the move over to Cosmo just shows its a great place to be at.
The place is just fun all over and i guess its not for everybody since people have different taste. But the suites sure are nice and comfy and restaurants and casino is great imo. Also im a big guy at almost 235 pounds and i didnt break any thing.

Anything with a terrace will be fantastic, especially if it faces the fountains. The wraparound terrace rooms are amazing, the nicest rooms I've stayed in in Vegas so far. Gambling conditions aren't great, but I agree with playing vp at Bond or Book&Stage for drinks. The drinks and atmosphere are good enough to offset the lousy paytables, and you still get 4000 credits for a max coin royal - I got my first RF ever at the Book&Stage before they downgraded the paytables. Added bonus - it didn't lock up for a hand pay, so I printed a TITO and cashed it at the machine. No waiting. :)

We are staying a Sunday and monday night in late August. It's a very down week from what I have seen. Lots of shows taking that weekend off and such. I am booked a comped room but it doesn't say what room. Do you think the 20$ trick would get me a terrace suite or wrap around?

I get comped the terrace studio. I'm assuming that's what you'll get as well. It's a very large room with a partition that seperates the bed area and the area with the couches and desk. It has two flat screens and a microwave.

My opinion is that there is no need to upgrade. I've never tried the 20 trick there

Even though the terrace studio is pretty nice. Its a huge difference compared to the terrace suite and wraparround.
