Four Queens - upgrade info

We are booked 6/15 - 6/18 at the Four Queens on a BOGO offer. We yet to get our airfare secured, but I think that will happen this week. I am wondering, on a BOGO offer, what is the chance we could get an upgrade at the Four Queens for this time period? We've never stayed there, but this is probably our most favorite casino downtown. Thanks!

 

Upgrade

Me and my wife stayed there for 2 nights 2 years ago. I like this place it was roomy, and had the old Vegas feel and look to it,
This was the very first Hotel I stayed at back in 1969...
Anyway, we never tried the $ 20.00 trick here, but I know a few people who had tried and wasn't very successful..but it always worth a try.

 

I was upgraded to a mini-suite there once. I'm pretty sure it was just two regular rooms put together without a wall in between. Had a bar and a seating area with a big TV. Nice enough, but not upscale or modern by any means. Just bigger.

Like everywhere else, you won't know unless you try. I think trying a $20 sandwich will look particularly ridiculous there. (Of course, I guess I think it always looks somewhat ridiculous.) Just ask nicely about complementary upgrades, telling them you play there a lot but it's your first time staying there and you are so excited. If you get the upgrade, and you're feeling generous, slip the clerk a $5 or $10 and everyone will be happy.

 

Four queens upgrade

You might just ask if an upgrade is available. Last year we booked a standard room and the woman at the counter during check-in just asked us if we would like a petite mini suite.
Sure, and we gave her a $10 after she offered.
