OK, I'm a grizzled old Vegas veteran but damn if I don't get excited the day before when I am waiting to do the SWA check-in.

    29 minutes!:poke:

Dang it, even after years of Vegas trips I know the feeling also - did you get "A" group?

A44 & 49. Because I'm flying as my wife's companion, we have different #. So I open two browsers with our info preset, but there still is a ~30 sec delay between getting both booked.

I am in the same situation. Except my check in starts tonight while the wife and I will be at the movies seeing Hangover 3. I plan on checking in while watching the movie.

I avoid allof the heart pounding excitement and just use the 'early bird' option....

I do, but only for return flights, so I don't have to deal with finding internet and being exactly 24 hrs ahead etc...

I don't know I would call it heart pounding, but more like a game to save $25. We're both retired and so every little bit helps.

Pay the $12.50 for the early bird. I've never not been in A Group since they launched the early bird deal.

Not to bust your bubble, but I'm an avid movie-goer and that's a big pet peeve. Hopefully you'll cover your screen with a jacket or something. Have a fun trip.

You can use those kiosks in the lobbies of the hotels, (actually just a PC you rent by the minute.) It'll cost you $5.

I've never flown SWA, but their cattle call boarding system seems idiotic to me. Just give me a reserved seat: how hard can it be?

I understand the kiosks are available, but I still have to be there at X time.

I have no problems with the SWA boarding process, in fact we like it. Flights to and from Milwaukee/Vegas are usually full. So, the two of us can get on and pick seats next to a skinny person, rather than having a seat assignment next to who knows what...

We were in the top row of a very empty theater so it didn't effect anybody. But yes I typically never remove my phone while a movie is playing. I was able to score A 40 though for my boarding number! Now to wait around all day for the flight

I far prefer SW's system, flying delta I always get stuck in some crap seat in the middle or back(because I'm not a preferred customer), with SW I almost always get a good seat in the first few rows, and I never pay for early boarding, just check in 24 hours early.

I love flying SW. I got a 395 dollar RT ticket with early bird for 10 bucks extra each way...no luggage fee's, with the times I like to fly...leaving Milwaukee at 1pm(my time) non-stop getting into Vegas at 3pm( vegas time). My flights have never been delayed...we usually get in early... There is no cattle call if you took the time to see how SW works.I've never been disappointed with my seating. To get the same from any other airline...it would cost me double if not triple to get the same flight and times I want. Add baggage fee's and layovers...For my next flight on another airline would have cost me 1200-1600 dollars just to get an assigned seat. No thanks. I know what I want and can get it from SW a lot cheaper. Again...I love SW !

I feel the same way Joe!
Except I usually drive or take Megabus if gas is on the high side. I'll be there for 6 days in 4 weeks and I've been counting down since February lol.

Where will you stay this time around ?

SOUTHWEST and COMPUTER : We check in via our phone. No need to find a computer.

SEATS ON DELTA : Just booked my Sister in Law. She has never flow Delta before and got aisle or window on all segments. Not a problem if you book a month out or so.
