If a person you just don't like at all pays for your trip?

    I won't. How about you?

If I have to go to Vegas with them: I don't think so.
If I get to go alone: absolutely.

Ooops! Sorry, but yes, that's what I meant. You have to go with them.

I don't think I could let someone I like pay for my trip, let alone someone I don't like. So no, not a chance in hell.

Hell yeah. I just came back from Vegas yesterday, and even though i prefer solo, if that person, a female, is paying for my trip, i can easily un-hate her for Vegas.

No. Not worth it. Maybe I would have 15 years ago out of inexperience and stupidity. But, no not worth it. Too many strings attached even with somebody you do like.

I've gone on plenty of trips with people I didn't like, mostly involving work-related trips where my only option would have been to quit, or some family outings where quitting wasn't an option. Going to Vegas might be the easy part if I didn't have to pal around with them once there. If I did – then no way!

Nope. I can not tolerate being around people whom I dislike. Going to LV with an undesirable person would be a complete downer. To me it would be like playing a round of golf at Augusta National with one of the Kardashian sisters.

I wouldn't want to feel obligated to someone I already dislike. Also, I just don't see using up my vacation time to spend it with someone irritating. May as well just go to work. :rolleyes2:

I just paid for my sister and her boyfriend to stay on the strip while my wife and I stayed downtown. I don't like him, couldn't care less how he feels about me. He made the entire time we had any contact with either of them terrible as he has a severe allergy to fun and any food but mcdonalds. That being said, I think it works both ways with people you don't enjoy and the entire trip can be ruined for everyone. On the other hand if you enjoy others misery I can see where that's an offer you cannot refuse. I was stoked to do my first TR about it till it happened and would have read as a downer even though I doubled my money. Stay home.

I would rather go alone to Vegas (and pay for it myself) than go with someone I did not like. Not worth it.

Depends upon how much I "Don't like" that person. If it is mild irritation, or just that they are not my favorite people in the world, maybe. If its someone I cannot stand to be around, like someone who calls me a kidderoo constantly, absolutely not, no matter how many Valium or Xanax are involved. Chances are slim to none that you will bond with a person you dont like anyway on a trip like that, and come out liking them better.

Thinking about it, NO, not even with someone I mildly dislike. My trips to Vegas are cheap, and I can pay for them myself.

Nope. If I don't like them, I probably won't like the hotel and restaurants they want either. There's no point to it.

I'll take that golf game. They've got to bend over to get the ball once in a while and I can wear ear plugs. ;)

not a chance. considering I don't really pay anything for the regular travel expenses anyway, someone else paying for it would mean nothing to me especially if it were someone I didn't like. however, if said person was backing my bankroll for a trip? sure, sign me up. :)
