I'll be solo in Vegas at the end of the month and I'm looking to have one great dinner at a steakhouse. I plan on dining in the bar and am willing to spend 150 pre-tip with a cocktail and a glass of wine. Any reccomendations?

The bar at CUT is good; the whole menu is offered. The bar is located in the lounge area, so you may also choose to sit at one of those tables.

Bartenders are great at Carnevino as is food and the whole experience @ the bar. Only problem is that it is a bit exposed to the casino if that bothers you.

Cut or Ramsay Steak would be my choice, both excellent restaurants.

I went to Carnevino my last trip. Pretty good but I'd like to try something different.

Cut's website is showing that they only serve appetizers in the bar and lounge.

All I see on CUT's website is a statement that they offer a menu of smaller items, not that they limit you to that menu. I've eaten at the bar several times, and have always ordered off the full menu. It's possible they've recently changed the policy; a phone call could clear it up.

I've had a nice steak dinner for one at the bar in the Brand (Monte Carlo) and Gallagher's (NYNY). Brand had outstanding service and both had very good steaks. Brand has gotten some bad reviews on the board but I was there last November and was very happy with my meal. The bartender/server there was outstanding.

I've had great meals - and a good time - solo at the bar at SW, Craftsteak and Carnevino. I would probably recommend them in that order. $150 (pre-tip) will be plenty at all three places.

I was going to suggest Carnevino because they treated me amazingly well but OP said he's been there and wanted something different.

Cut is great but I felt the bar itself was a little small and bright, I prefer a darker bar. I also felt they sold me up on the wine, which I did not like.

I was treated very well at Strip at PH and the steak was great but it's sort of one step below the top tier, IMO.

They treated me very well at SW and the food was great but it was several years ago and don't remember the vibe at the bar, although I liked the lighting, lol.

If you venture downtown then I suggest Vic & Anthony's. They treated me very well and I was very happy with the meal. It's not a dry aged steak if I remember correctly.

I did not eat at the bar at Delmonico's but I liked the vibe there. I ate in the restaurant and thought it was great.

If you are into the hip scene, STK has pretty raging bar scene. Full menu! Ate there twice. So many people partying it's definitely a cool spot to eat solo and not feel awkward as it sometimes does when you dine alone.

Milos next door is a nice spot as well for laid back quiet dinner. Good steak and seafood.

Jaleo is not just steak but awesome bar to eat it at.

As one poster said, nine at palms is great.

I did the solo thing at the bar at Ni9ne in the Palms recently. It was great. The gnocchi side dish they have there made me think about food in a new way
