Which casino do you always get lost in?

caesars is a nightmare.

I remember wife and I trying to find a restaurant in the forum shops a long time ago. just as bad in there.

 

I got lost at Caesars and Venetian the first time i went to Vegas. I couldn't even find the bathroom at Caesars and ended up asking a security guard where I could find one. Alcohol was definitely a contributing factor in both of these situations.

 

My vote also goes for Caesars for the sole reason of teasing you with the exit to the Forum shops. There it is, right there, we'll show it to you, but now you have to go up 2 escalators, go down three revolving escalators and walk ENTIRELY around all fountains before you can reach it. I swear it takes 10 minutes after you can see the exit to actually get to it.

 

Yes, Caesars is a confusing nightmare for most people. One tip: If you are in the casino and walking toward the forum shops entrance, there are glass doors to your right that lead directly outside. The doors are tucked into a wall near the shops that sell souvenirs for the coliseum shows, and they are partially hidden by a standalone jewelry sales counter. Exiting those doors (which are labeled something like "to valet") will lead you outside to an open paved area that allows you to bypass the Forum shops altogether on your way to the Strip.

I second that lovely little knowledge nugget.

 

This will sound ridiculous, but I've had issues in Luxor before. Not Caesars level confusion, but every time I think I know the best way to get from the Excalibur hallway to the Mandalay Shops escalator, I end up way off.

Other places I've had confusion:
Caesars (obviously)
City Center as a whole, not just Aria. I've gotten so turned around in that entire mess of a complex that I don't even care to go there.
Planet Hollywood - I usually just wander around the casino and mall aimlessly hoping I run into whatever it is I'm trying to find
Venetian/Palazzo - If they were going with the full Venetian experience, they succeeded. I get lost in this maze about as much as I got lost when I was in actual Venice!

I never have any issues at MGM but I suppose that has something to do with how many times I've stayed there. It's gigantic but I find it relatively easy to navigate.

 

I can get my bearings anywhere, eventually. Except for Excalibur. Staying at MGM and doing stuff at Luxor, I ended up cutting through it lots. And getting lost lots.

I thought things were going well when I figured out how to use the globe of death as a landmark. Naturally they removed it between trips, putting me back at square one.

 

Mandalay Bay, Caesars, Venetian/Palazzo, and MGM Grand.

 

I did that exact same thing once.

 

I would say Caesars, Planet Hollywood, and Venetian/Palazzo for me and my parents, especially V/P. Just when you think you're at the right escalators, you're not. If I had a nickel every time I went to the down escalator when I wanted to go up and vice versa.

 

I can do PH no problem, but Ceasers/venetion im always lost no matter where im at

 

My husband got lost in Caesar's Palace, wandered around forever and finally started following signs for valet.

 

Caesars without a doubt. You need a GPS to navigate that place.

 

For me defiantly Caesar's Palace followered by MGM and Venetian/ Palazzo bringing up the rear.

 

Palazzo is a lot easier than Venetian because it has a central intersection and points of interest you can memorize. In Venetian you can get your bearings based on what's along the edges, but heaven help you if you go to the canal level. It's nearly as crazy as the real Venice.

MGM is just huge, not particularly confusing. Caesars is a mess but can be learned by memorization and by using landmarks like David and Cleopatra.

Just got back from Vegas, and I used to think that Caesers was terrible for getting lost in. Now Venetian/Palazzo are at tops for me. I got to turned around in there had to ask 3 different times how the hell to get back to where I came from.

After staying in the ho for a week I have it down, but the first few days I keeps going the wrong way. I think it's the circular style of the layout.

My top tip is to head towards the elevators when it starts going wrong. Looking at them, go left at north ones or right at south ones and just follow the path to the strip.
