Google Glass - Not allowed in Vegas casinos

Should hardly come as a shock to anyone. But if these things are widely adopted, it'll be interesting to see how it's enforced. And I'm guessing it won't be too long before someone takes the current version and modifies them to make them less obvious. Hopefully we'll hear a great story about what Vegas does to cheats!

I'm sure it won't be long at all and they'll license it out to eyewear manufacturers and they'll look just like every other pair of sunglasses out there.

I dont see what all the press is about.

No one is going to buy those stupid looking things and even if they did, you know they wont work like they say they are supposed to work.

What to try a trick? break out your phone and connect to the internet real fast. real fast being the trick. You know it can be irritattingly slow and your phone has way more processing and connectivity power than these glasses can have due to their size.

They also look stupid.

I can see them being viable in abut 5-10 years but not now.

 

The Casino's are just getting the jump. All it will take is someone to replicate the laser reader that estimates roulette results based on speed of the wheel and ball in the form of a software mod to Glass and the cheating will explode. I'd expect sunglasses to be banned from tables in the near future as the tech gets better and less obvious.

 

...or it might serve to accelerate the trend away from mechanical table games, in favor of electronic versions. Casinos already have economic incentives, such as the elimination of dealers. This might be the last straw.

That'll be the last time I ever go gambling. I loathe electronic table games. Not fun at all for me.

I agree with your theory though. It is possible that it is just a matter of time.

 

Google glass is the next segway lol.....it'll die out in a couple years.
