    Hey all,

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but i find the search hard to use.

    Wondering about prices?

Here are some reviews I found:

'It said the HH beers were only $7.50 for a small pitcher. This is a great place to get beer for cheap! 48 oz. of your choice of beer for $7.50. Where else can you get that on the strip?' - My question, what is an HH?

'-buy a growler of Amber, insert straw and drink away. way better then the fruity sugar margaritas everywhere. the growler was $20 filled and i think 15 for refill i wish i did this on the first day.' - my question, what size is the growler?

    Thanks

I don't know about the growlers but HH is Happy Hour.

IIRC they had BOGO all day on the pitchers and during the happy hour it was 1/2 price for pitchers.

Most growlers are 64 ounces. That's what all the local breweries around here use, anyway. It seems to be an industry standard.

I had the Sin City Amber and thought it was pretty tasteless.

Sin City beer is marginal at best and only good if you have a BOGO or other discount coupon. Absolutely no reason to go out of your way to have one of the beers.

Same I have never heard anything great, not to mention the one in the Flamingo rarely seems too busy. The coffee place across the room gets far more business ;) .. and that is even in the afternoon hours.

Go to The Pub at the Monte Carlo for a decent happy hour special and selection.

That's too bad, but thanks for the heads up. Was really looking forward to their growler.

I would not waste money on it Donny, if you want cheap beer while staying at Ballys, hit Ellis Island behind the hotel, and walk north to Casino Royale and drink dollar beers there.

Doing those two things have lowered my alcohol costs down a lot the last few trips. Example, we have breakfast then walk to Casino Royale, drink a few cheap beers to get a little buzz then head out to where ever.

In the eve we often start our night at Ellis, cant get pretty buzzed on the $2 beers and then catch a cab to the strip.

I bet the cabbies love that short trip! Man I hate it when they give you crap for a short fare!

    Those are some great suggestions!

I have a bunch of food credits from MYVegas that my brother and I will be using for suppers & drinks (early suppers to maximize happy hour) - otherwise I woudl totally take the Ellis Island evening advice.

I also have some TR credits for drinks at the pool and we are going to hit up the Tequila bar for an hour or so on Thursday around 6:30pm. Hopefully their $2 margaritas are good!

    bear + rootbeer

Ellis island brews are wonderful and the root-beer if they still brew it is magnificent! Poor waitress mixed up orders and I found out for free.Hey this dark beer tastes funny?

Donny, Ellis Island beer is worth the extra distance and it is far less of a zoo to get them than at Planet's indoor mall. Better beer is to be had at the 777 in Main Street Station but other venues have great beer too.

You're confusing that with Bud Light, Miller Lite, and Coors Light. Sin City Amber is head and shoulders above these 3. Yuengling is my go to beer.

I've had drinks at the Sin City outlets in PH and the Flaming-O and would have no problem in doing so again.

They are pretty cheap compared to other bars on the Strip and being just a bar counter they are really for hit'n'run stops rather than a destination bar.

If you're in the strolling around Miracle Mile anyway stop for a pint or two, but it you are making a special trip to make a session of it you'd be better off going across to Ellis Island or Downtown.

Agree. Convenient for walking beer that is a slight step above what you can find at other hit n run bars on the Strip:peace: (and cheaper! My husband got a good beer at a quickie stop in Caesars in February and I swear that thing cost $12.....)
