It's so different from where I live.

Gambling, shows, weather, scenery (I like the desert bordered by the mountains--so different from Iowa)

Usually take $1000 for whatever we do.

Whereever we get free rooms (usually Paris)

Fly--for almost 3 hours

7) Do you bring kids along? If you had kids would they go along with you? Family/couple/single vacation?
No, thought about bringing the grandkids when they get older but really not a good place for children. Usually with just my husband but I've made a couple of solo trips.

8) Old Vegas/new Vegas?
CET cardholder so stay on the strip. Venture downtown maybe every 4 or 5 trips.

9) Restaurants or buffets?
Either, whatever we're in the mood for.

Iowa

2 times a month

Don't shop, food is comped, room is comped. Don't do clubs or spas. Just gamble, sightsee and go to shows. Usually $1000 total per trip.

1) Why Vegas? Where else would you go instead? There are multiple things to do depending on my mood. I could be on top of a mountain or in a dive bar.

5) How do you figure out which hotel you will stay at? Whoever has the best offer.

7) Do you bring kids along? If you had kids would they go along with you? Yes and No. My 21 year old son has been with me but my daughter is under 21 so she can't go.
Family Vacations are for Disney NOT VEGAS.

Ballerholic unless you are planning to fail this project this is an awful way to go about collecting any useful data. There is absolutely no way whatever you get here will be robust enough or satisfy any basic survey sampling criteria to aggregate into useful conclusions.

Go to the LVCVA site and they have a lengthy visitor profile study as well as other reports on Vegas visitors. They put it together for the public so I'm sure if you contact them they can even send you the raw data or better yet ask for their source crosstabs which they will surely have. From the crosstabs you can generate whatever data you want to present and it will be credible.

 

what about which credit card # we use, will that help?

$150/day for gambling (max), ~$20/day for food, hotel either comped or maybe up to ~$50/night

Whatever is comped/cheapest

No children. I always go solo as my wife doesn't like Vegas!

First trip was 2009, so I only know the new Vegas. However, the more I read about old Vegas, I wish I could experience it.

No buffets. Usually just McDonald's or snacks from convenience store.

This is a crazy, loaded question. A player does not "spend" like people taking surveys. Might win or lose 5 figures in one night at the tables, expected "spending" is zero, maybe $500 in tips on a weekend
