I've stayed there a couple of times. It's a timeshare property so it's basically a room and a pool. There are no restaurants and only a limited room service menu. The one bedrooms are pretty large and come with a W/D combo, stand alone shower, luv tub, and a projector that uses the windowshades. The top five floors are being renovated, I don't know what style. The other floors are kind of hip in line with PH and say the Flamingo. The furnishings seem poorly maintained/cheap (all of the rooms I stayed in had a frat party battered look about them). Hotel management says that's why they are renovating the hotel. The bed is comfortable and you'll either have a view of the MGM/Marriot timeshare/Signature or Paris and the fountains.

They have a basic pool, cabana rentals are $100 half-day and $200 full-day. They don't do the dayclub pool, so it's just a pool.

The lobby is connected into the Miracle Mile shops and the parking deck for the hotel is right next to the hotel. Hint there is a walkway right into the hotel lobby on level 3 of the parking deck otherwise you have to walk through the mall.

My opinion is you can't beat the price point for the property. Generally I think I pay about 90/night for weeknight studio. just remember it's a hotel, not a casino resort.

oh also no resort fee, very nice.

That must be where I saw the 2 bedroom suites when I was looking for one. The projector looks suite but who wants to watch TV when you are in Vegas!!!!

They have 2 different one bedroom suites at Elara! Once is a JR and the other is their regular one bedroom suite. Bigger kitchen. I have stayed at all the HGVC properties in vegas and this one is very nice. Just depends on what is important too you. Mid strip - so centrally located. Personally i like the rooms. I would prefer them over many others in town.

Each of the 4 hgvc properties have their advantages and disadvantes. As the south end of the strip starts to get more developed the Las Vegas Strip property will become much more desirable.

You can see it on youtube.

We love this hotel. Have stayed (and payed) there the past 3 trips this year even though we have had comped suites at Aria and others. The hotel is mid-strip. The access to PH and Aria is excellent. The pool is very nice. It was under renovation last month, so be sure to check for that. The lack of restaurants meant nothing to us as the hotel is attached to the miracle mile shopping center with all kinds of choices from casual to elegant. A walk of about 3 minutes through miracle mile will land you in PH. There, you can do all the partying, gambling, and casino restaurants to your hearts content.

After that, you return to a hotel that is not a room and a pool to us. We have now stayed here many times and each room we have been in is updated with some of the most modern nice furnishings of any hotel. We have only stayed in 1 and 2 BR suites, and I would highly suggest you do the same. It's huge step up from the Jr suites we have seen at Elara. For the $50 it is well worth it. Not frat like at all at least in the suites. Check out the 3 pictures here and then search google for elara hdtv and check out some more. http://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/nevada/elara-a-hilton-grand-vacations-hotel-center-strip-LASCSGV/accommodations/suites.html

Finally, the washer and dryer is really cool. It's an all in one unit. Ask the maid for some detergent and they will provide you with a bunch.

    Warning

Elara is now owned by Hilton and they renamed it "Hilton Grand Vacations". I'm a Hilton gold member so they actually honor my tier and give me the benefits. Their rooms are very large and the jumbo bathtub in the room is pretty awesome. Also they have full kitchens in most of the suites / rooms so that's kinda nice. Unfortunately tho Hilton has kinda let the place go the rooms are beginning to show wear. Also the Valet for this place (if your driving) is ALWAYS full so you will be stuck parking in the Miracle Mile mall lot, very dangerous! (car might get keyed by drunk kids). The pool is super small and the service is pretty bad also. Your at the back of the Miracle Mile Mall so if you are older expect to be in frat boy central.

If I were you I'd stay somewhere else it's really gone down hill... :(

I am always worried that word will get out how amazing Elara is for the price and the rates will skyrocket. Since we have never experienced any issues, I can only hope others will feel the same as above and prices will remain favorable :) We are 48 and 50 yrs old....but love to drink like fish with those frat boys.

Pool-Service has always been great in our experience. But, I suppose if it was poor, I would just walk inside to the bar on the other side of the window and get a drink or order food.

Valet-Never had any issues. But, it is a small area so I suspect it gets packed. But, the bellmen are right on top of things. So, if it is crowded, pull in and go around in the middle lane past the cones/stakes and pull to the front of the line. A bellman will be right there and also help you with valet. We have also dropped off luggage with the bellman and parked on floors 3/6/7 at MM and never had any issues.

Here are some pictures of the pool, pre-renovation, and the lobby bar on the other side of the window.

I stayed there year an a half ago when it was still PH towers. Also a one bedroom suite. I thought it was pretty good! Especially the tv projector, the Jacuzzi and the kitchen. Be aware that they don't have any kitchen equipment though...

Thanks guy. I've tried also requesting a room on the upper floors too so hopefully it don't look as bad as some say. Is it jut me or does some of the rooms look red and some look burnt orange

I stayed at Elara back when it was PH Towers, by Westgate.

I just wanted to point out that the walk to the tower from the strip is no big deal -- you walk through the Miracle Mile Shops but it isn't too far. I'm sure there are rooms at Bally's and the Flamingo that are farther walks from the strip.

Oh please no one let my husband know they have rooms with a projection TV in them. I did not on purpose book one of those rooms. He will sit and watch sports 24 hours a day and never get out.:beer::beer:
