Received an offer from the Orleans that includes daily food credits. Just curious, anyone know if these credits can be used at Java Vegas and/or the food court? Thanks.

    Hey Now!
I've had problems getting them to credit me back room offer food charges for anything...My host took care of it last trip, but the front desk seems to be lost. I charge Java Vegas to my room if I run low on comps.

Wow, that's pretty lame on the Orleans tracking system. The last couple times we stayed there with a food credit, we would have an early breakfast (before 6:00 am) at the cafe, and check out at 7:30am, and it was already in the system.

This past Jan/Feb trip at the SunCoast, we had a $25 food credit for each of four days. So, for each of those 4 meals, we just showed our room key, and had them charge it to the room. And when we checked out, everything was already cleared from our room bill.

I've never had an issue. I hope I don't, either!

Just to chime in, when we stayed at the Orleans last month, our breakfast charge was automatically deducted properly, even when we checked out immediately afterwards. However, we've been erroneously charged for comped nights on at least two occasions, though things were quickly straightened at the desk before leaving. Mistakes happen, which is why we always bring copies of our offers, emails, etc.

Anyway, to get back to the OP's question, I would think that any meal that could be charged to the room would qualify for the credit. I don't know if they do that in the food court and would recommend asking when checking in.

It can be used at any Casino owned restaurant e.g. French Market Buffet or the Cafe. The way to use it is to charge it to your room.

    Orleans Food Credit

We have used it at Subway in the food court and never had a problem charging it to the room and then they deduct it.

We were there just last week. They told us you can use it anywhere except the package liquor store and the gift shop. All food venues were in play from what the reservations clerk told us. Our bill was exactly correct on check out with the food credit deducted from the total bill.

Good to know! I thought they had eliminated food comps at TGIF, since it wasn't listed. Glad that's not the case!

Agree with rush...I never had any problems with the food credit at the Orleans...it was all good (although I haven't given them action in awhile so grrrr...no food credits anymore >< ).
