Going to vegas in august and staying at ny ny, after hearing about the "park", got me to thinking about how bad it will be to get around the outside, anyone know when this project will start, thanks

This is copy/pasted from Vegas4Visitors weekly column on The Park from today.

Construction will begin on the Strip facing pieces of the project in the coming weeks, with anticipated completion in early 2014. The rest of it, including the arena, will be up and running by 2016.

Gary, are you stuck with NYNY? Might want to consider another property and rates always go down when the summer tempratures arrive. You should be able to find a pretty good deal between now and August.

Pretty sure the bulk of this is BEHIND NYNY and should not have much impact on the casino, rooms, etc.

EDIT EDIT - I thought this was about the big event center. I see this new announcement is for out front.

Still, I would guess you can get past the construction okay.
