    Hey All,

Well our cruise was canceled, so my wife and I will spend a few days in Shreveport...a little drive from OKC(Okla,City) to play a little.

Its been quite a few years since we've been there..Horseshoe Casino..and we can't remember much about it.

Bottom line: Does anyone know much about those casinos? Good odds at Blackjack? Craps? Poker? Any good slots or are they pretty tight?

Fill me in on the Pros/Cons of Shreveport.

**Yes, Oklahoma has a ton of Indian casinos...we just don't like them...paying an ante on every hand of Blackjack, not real craps...if they offer it...paying for each and every drink...it goes on and on.**

I am from the Houston area and had never gone to a Shreveport (Bossier City) casino before last May. Lake Charles is closer for me, but they haven't had a Caesars related casino for a while now. I got tired of the L'Auberge casino in Lake Charles. I had been flying to New Orleans every once in a while via Harrah's. So, last Memorial day weekend, I decided on that Saturday to go up to the Horseshoe Bossier City for 2 nights.

The drive sucks, at 4:30 hours for me, but I was very surprised at how I liked the Horseshoe. After that trip, I took 4 more weekend trips there up through October. So, my input is about 6 months old.

I do like it and recommend it.

Blackjack had pretty good rules. I could also find good VP.

The Jack Binion's Steak House was good. I also ate at the 8 oz. Burger Bar, and had some good food there as well.

I will probably be going up there again soon.

We recently made our first trip to Shreveport and played at a bunch of casinos in just a few days.
El Dorado, Diamond Jack’s, Boomtown, Sam’s Town, and Horseshoe are all river-boat casinos in the same area on either side of the river between Shreveport and Bosier City. There is also Harrah’s Louisiana Downs about 7 miles East of there. On this trip, we play only slots, video poker and craps.

Louisiana Downs has live horse races and slots; no table games & no video poker. Staff was very friendly there and we had lots of fun playing slots there without spending much money.

El Dorado has a poker room that had NL games only (we did not play). They also had many table games.

The Diamond Jack’s players' club staff were not at all friendly, but we did enjoy a little bit of slots and craps at this casino.

Boomtown Casino had very friendly player’s club people. We won a few bucks at the slot machines there.

Played slots and craps at Sam’s Town, but did not win.

Won a little bit of money on slots and craps at Horseshoe Casino. They also had a poker room and table games.

Since you are driving there, if you are not having fun at one casino, just drive on over to the next one!
