What iPhone/iPad apps would you recommend that at Vegas specific? I am not looking for slots or poker apps, but I am looking for Aps that are informational about gaming, dining and events.

I have downloaded a few of the hotel specific ones, and they are fine. However, there has got to be good ones out there that I haven't seen yet.

I appreciate your feedback in advance.

all the MGM hotels have apps, and there is an Mlife app.

There is a free app called "Vegas indoor maps" that is somewhat handy.

VegasMate is the best I have found. Well worth the dollar or two, used it every trip since downloading. Updated weekly.

Those are the ones I love as well. MyCityWay even has live traffic cams. When I miss LV, I watch them

Can't believe no one has mentioned VegasMate. Allows you to check hours of every, show, restaurant, reviews on everything and when all the poker tourney times are for each hotel.

I know it's a little specific, but I really appreciated having the City Center art collection app so I could explore the pieces on my own and get more information about the pieces. It makes for a nice free diversion.

Beyond that, another thumbs up for VegasMate, as well as the resort-centered apps, though I find most of them don't give me the information I actually want (e.g., hours, menus), but VegasMate provides all of that.

Yet another for Vegas Mate. What I'll add is that I emailed support once and he responded very quickly. Also, you can rate the restaurants, hotels, etc. He checks the reviews to make sure they are real reviews, but my came up within a day.

The MGM/CET apps seem to be on android also.

As a foreigner I found the TripAdvisor app pretty good. It has its content stored on the phone so you don't use any data accessing it. It has a map of the central part of the city that works well.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I pulled down VegasMate on my iPhone last night. It is a great, great app. It was exactly what I was looking for.
