Staying at casino A and mostly playing at casino B, im 90% sure the answer to both of these questions but still gotta confirm.

    1) casino A's hosts have the power to waive the daily resort fees since im staying there, but the thing is do they WANT to since most of the action is on their sister casino or it dont matter as long as its one of the mlife?

    2) casino B's host claimed they dont waive daily resort fees on their sister casino, any truth to this or is she just lying to her teeth? (i got 10k+ tier points in 2 days and this is the poor excuse she went with)

    1) your action at casino B will probably be worth about 50% of the same action at casino A in terms of comps from host A

    2) sounds plausible - i would believe it.

i think it depends on what you were playing. 10k teir points isn't all that much if you were playing slots. But if you were on the tables, from what I've read on the board the tier points seem to accumulate much slower for some reason, so maybe ur request was justified.
I'm sure host A wasn't going to go the extra mile if you didn't do the majority of your play there. But if you did put in a lot of play at property B than your express comps should have covered the resort fee (even if you didn't want to have to use them). I could see what host B said about not being able to cover another hotels resort fee as being plausible.
Or your play didn't warrant any extras beyond the comped room and they didn't wanna say that to your face so they made shit up.

I usually average around 10-12k teir points a day for a 4 night stay (about 75% from slots) and MGM has not comped my resort fees when I have room comps. I have to use my express comps to cover the fee and any food charges.

Still no firm answers to both of those questions, way too advance of a questions...

One of the advantages to living here is u go there often enough u will find out whos the cool hosts, and whos stingy, newer hosts have less leeway to work with.

And yes my express comps can easily cover it, it was already triple digits before i do any play last week, the host that have always hook me up is coming back from vacation soon, thank goodness cuz these newer hosts havent seen what ive accomplished back then.

I've never been charged resort fees on a comped room at an MGM property.

Not to be rude, but you want a comped room and resort fees, based on 10K tier points over 2 days (so 5K per day)? Your expectations are a bit off. I'm not a local, but from SoCal, so just a short hop to LV when the mood strikes. On my last 2 day trip, I earned around 250K tier credits. I never asked my host or Mlife desk for anything - they automatically comped RFB, spa and limo. If your play warrants something, they will give it to you.

I'm going to assume you havent stayed at MGM or Luxor or NY NY or Monte Carlo. All charge a resort fee even on a comped room. I confirmed all. I am not a local player and I hold Platinum status so it isnt like they are trying to stick it to me. I did get the fee waived by a host at NY NY. And I am sure a host might be able to waive it at their properties if you book through them. But any corporate Mlife offer at the above casinos will in fact hit you with the resort fee.

In my experience, if you booked the comped room with a host yes they could waive it. If you booked a corporate offer, chances are they wont unless you really play well and bitch enough for an "upper" host to get involved.

I'm sure this is true as well. Host can only comp you at their casino. The MGM casinos are set up to compete with each other. CET does not do this. My host at Paris can book me a room at the Rio if I wanted her to. Can a host call a sister casino and book me diner at their restaurant? Sure they can. But I've never heard of one getting involved with the hotel desk for a resort fee. My host at Bellagio confirmed if he booked me at his place, he gets credit for my play there. But if I gamble elsewhere he gets nothing, but I do. Honestly i wouldnt have the balls to tell one host to call another casino and hook me up. But I have had hosts ask me to check out of their "sister" casinos and spend the night with them

Then of course, if you are like my future visit - staying at Vdara. Play at Aria and Bellagio.

Maybe Aria host can do something?

if you're staying at casino A, all your comps have to come from a host at casino A. it doesn't matter how big a player you are. the host at casino B will tell you to talk to your other host for any comps. I've had this happen many times. they don't do this partially so as not to step on each other's toes and mostly because corporate wants everything to go through the host at the property you're staying at. otherwise host A could comp you a bunch and then host B could comp you more and you'd be way overcomped overall.

My host explained that if he booked the trip and I played at a sister property, he splits credit with my host at the sister property. His perspective is that if I am going off property, at least go to a sister property. But he would be pretty unhappy if I spent most of my time at a sister property ... not good for the relationship or future offers.

Also note that the sister property will not comp me anything directly - they will simply tell me to charge it to my room (just about any show or restaurant at any mlife casino can be charged to your room, regardless of which property you are staying at), and have my primary host review at end of trip. That is my experience with Mlife. I do not have as much experience with the scenario at CET, so not sure how they handle.

I hate to say it but 10k tier credits in 2 days is squat at MGM casinos.

I'm platinum and I could have sworn they waived my resort fees for me. I guess I'll find out soon though.

the OP said he's a local, so 10k TC in 2 days is a good amount if he plays that much every day.

Why would you stay at a casino that you don't want to play at? I roam around the strip too but to go in knowing you aren't going to play where you stay makes no sence to me. You can if you want but don't bitch about paying a resort fee. I've Never paid a resort fee, but I've never shunned the place I've stayed either. It works both ways.
