This is the art of manipulating people to do what you want by exploiting human vulnerabilities. It can happen in all types of social scenarios.

A good example of one is how the casino puts in bad, wildly-printed carpets in order to distract or disorient the gambler, camouflage stains/dirt or even dropped gambling chips. They also keep windows and clocks out of the casino to distract the player from knowing how much time has passed; and this form of social engineering is highly successful.

There was a post on VMB giving other examples of how gamblers have used social engineering on the casino. See the link if you desire http://www.worldgameprotection.com/the-catwalk/casino-ology/BOSVIEW/The-Present-Threat-to-Table-Games-Social-Engineering/ .

What are some other specific examples of social engineering conducted casino-to-gambler or gambler-to-casino? Do you think social engineering might be used gambler-to-gambler...or even better, casino-to-casino?
