How's the buffet at Treasure Island? We were able to score two buffet comps with our Mystere tickets and for someone who likes to eat at a buffet at least once a trip, is it any good?

I ate there on a freebie that came with my room last time. It's nothing special, but it's not bad either. They have a lot of stations and it was easy to find something that I found appealing, but also nothing that stood out as memorable.

Sounds good for a low-roller like me. I'm pretty sure the buffet vouchers are picked up at the Mystere box office, so I'm hoping they give me the option to use them for breakfast or lunch because I prefer to splurge on nice dinners. Thanks for the feedback SH0CK! ;)

I'd like to see more recent reviews myself. When we ate dinner there six years ago the hot food selection wasn't too big, but everything we tried was tasty. However, the dessert selection was outstanding!

Shock's reply could have been written by me. I've eaten there a couple of times because of the freebies that came with the room. It was fine, but nothing memorable enough to make me want to pay full price.

The sushi is actually quite good for a buffet...pasta station and pizza are good...desserts are very good...found a lot of the other stuff a bit lacking...salads were good too.

I had breakfast and dinner there on our February trip. Eh. 2 for 1 for both of the meals, thank goodness. Would have hated to pay full price for dinner. Donuts at breakfast are wonderful. Breakfast in general was much better than dinner. We had Sunday dinner there- seafood night. (maybe it was crab legs & prime rib? I didn't eat either....) It was acceptable - didn't make me sick or anything - but it was super bland and boring, in my opinion. I did like some of the Asian options.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'll be sure to update this thread when I get back. Of course this will be my first CDS show unless you count Zumanity. Haha. Cheers!

I once had a comp room at TI for a few nights which came with 2 free buffets as well.

The buffet was worth what we paid for them....never would I pay my own money for their quality.

It's been about 5 years since I've eaten there so take my comments for what it's worth.

It's an ok buffet. Small offerings compared to larger places like Wynn or B but quality was good. Basically a nice, middle of the road buffet. I still remember the sushi and desserts as being above average even from 5 years ago.

I wouldn't pick this over the better buffets in Vegas, but you could do worse. If its part of a deal, then I certainly wouldn't pass it up.

We got these Mystere tickets off Vegas dot com and they actually offer meals at Gilley's, SeƱor Frog's and Kahunaville. The downside is you are limited to specific items at those restaurants.

Is the buffet the way to go?

Only if you don't like good food.

I would pick the buffet over Kahunaville (marginally). Those are the only ones I can compare directly -I didn't eat at Gilleys or Senor Frogs.

Sadly, the TI buffet never lived up to expectations. The 2-3 time I ate there, there was a noticeable absence of continuity in its set up and flow. Additionally, the food offerings were somewhat limited compared to many Strip buffets.
But, don't that discourage you. It's not a bad buffet. It's just that it never reached the heights of other newly-opened casino buffets.
Compared to your other dining choices, I would still choose the TI buffet. And, as Candy Apple said, the desserts are quite good. In fact, I recall candy apples being served.
