Being from the great white north I only make it to Vegas once per year. Last year I went in May and earned $150 in express comps, this year I'm headed back in June (13 months later). From what I've read on mlife.com express comps expire one year from the date they are earned. So what to do to get value out of them? Can I:

    1. Use them towards paying for my room at MGM or the resort fee? (I have 3 nights comped but am paying casino rate for 2 more nights)
    2. Use them to buy MGM tickets for my June trip?
    3. Anyway to save them short of visiting an MGM property?

It would be nice to not lose $150 because I forgot to spend it. Thanks for any help.

the moral of the story is never keep ECs at the end of your trip unless absolutely everything was already comped. otherwise it doesn't make any sense to save them.

however, if you have a relationship with a host, you can give the ECs to someone else that you know that's going to be there and he can apply them to their account.

    From their FAQ on Facebook:
So if you can send a copy of your card to a friend who's going to Vegas this month just have them run it through a slot for a couple spins. That should keep your ECs alive for another 12 months from that date. Otherwise looks like they're supposed to expire by the time you get there.

Yes you need someone to use your card before the last date you used it in May or you will lose them. Here is a link to the facts about Mlife program https://www.mlife.com/pages/about_m_life_faq.html Not sure if you are paying for your room? Maybe you could phone your hostess and see if you could prepay for some of your room with your comps or prepay for a bottle of wine etc.. to be in your room when you arrive. Good Luck.

It may not matter to you since you do not visit that often, but by putting a few dollars play through will totally KILL your theo. That "trip" will get averaged in and you will look like a smaller player.

From one Canuck to another what everyone is recommending is what I did in March. I sent my card with another person gave them a $20 US and had them play it. I have done this before as well and the one friend actually made money on my $20 and gave me $50 back lol. I didn't expect it or want it but they insisted. Anyhow it has kept my cards alive and I am truly grateful. Next time I went to Vegas I took that friend with me and covered her room and meals with my comps.

    Thanks so much.

I appreciated them doing that for me and enjoy their companionship.

That is one way to use up those comps. Sad to say I still have $150 to use this time so will be busy doing so.

$150 is pretty easy to blow through.

    Drinks, Food, Shows, Room, Spa

As to giving a friend money to play for you. Yes, that can work. Or, you just ask them to put card in machine next time they play, give it a few spins and you are set. All wins and losses are theirs. This assumes they would normally play slots or vp, and do not mind giving up a point or two.
