Can't recall where I read it... Is it all closed for renovation? New restaurants? Timeframe when it will reopen??

They are going to add two more restaurants: Subway and Johnny Rockets.

It should be reopening in May or June.

Though they are expanding the space overall, I would expect the Sbarro's to be scaled back a little - that place was pretty big and used more room than they really needed (plus there was always lots of open seats at Nathan's).

I would suspect that it'll probably wind up in design similar to the food court at Flamingo (even having similar restaurant choices: Flamingo has Bonanno's pizza, Johnny Rockets, a chinese food place and then an LA Subs that is also a Nathans... the Bally's food court will have a Sbarro's, a Johnny Rockets, a chinese food place, a Subway and a Nathan's)

Thanks for that info. Really a Subway? I'd rather eat the carpet off the old Imperial Palace. Eww maybe not. I'll stay away from Subway. Too bad they couldn't have done a few different one however. I wonder what the Chinese will be like.
Yah the Sbarro dining WAS really spacious. Always empty when we've been there. Hope they're are open by first week of June!

Was just there this week and was saddened to see Sbarro's was still closed. Love to have a stromboli for breakfast. So I ran out the doors by Nathans and across the street to Stage Door.

The sheets of plywood were still up and nothing I saw was re-opened yet!

The Subway is likely the relocation of the franchise that was at O'Shea's. Personally I like Subway so I am glad they'll be there (but I also used to online ordering for Subway a few years ago so they've been good to me in the past).

For different its hard to say: setting up a fast food restaurant franchise in a hotel/casino is pretty expensive with high rents and the percentage of gross sales they have to pay to the landlord... so its usually only the really big chains that are certain they can keep the business coming in that can afford these locations.

I am pretty sure the Asian place is the same one that is in Flamingo. That one I've never eaten as as the food really never looked appetizing.
