Can anyone recommend a good Italian restaurant on the strip, preferably with a view?

    Thanks!

Bartolotta @ Wynn has a great view if you are seated out at the lagoon.

Circo nails it. Scarpetta is also very good and it has a view.

Battista's is no farther off the Strip than most of the entrances into Bally's, so I don't think this warrants a literal interpretation of the rules.*

*This is in no way, shape or form an endorsement of the restaurant, of course.

I have read lots of mixed reviews about Batistas's, many not so great. Many people say its crowded, and I will be with someone in a wheelchair so it's probably not feasible.

    Thanks for all the suggestions!

Went to Circo a month ago and was very disappointed. Several items forgotten when the meal was delivered and so-so food at best. The place only had about 10 tables full at the time. For the price there has got to be better options. I would never go back there again. Bucca would have been better that night.

Went to Circo last night. The food was absolutely exceptional, but the service unfortunately was deplorable. 2 cocktails, a split salad and entree - took nearly two hours. We had two servers, and they seemed to visit every table in their section BUT ours. Unfortunate to say the least.

We'll not return because of it.

Valentino in the Venetian. I'm not sure of the view, but I can vouch for the food.

Rao's is on my list because I heard it's quality and I'll never get in there in New York.

Was just going to recommend Valentino's. No view but the food is excellent.

Also been to Battista's a few times it is what it is. A better than chain Italian restaurant (i.e Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill etc..) but I wouldn't go there and make a special trip out of it. There are plenty of good Italian restaurants to go to instead.

People who have enjoyed Battista's ought to form a support group. Yes, we do feel all alone. :)

Seriously, Italian on the Strip, Trevi at Caesars is probably more of what you're looking for.

    View? Great people watching! :)

As for Maggiano's, it's very good, but when I'm in Las Vegas I want something VEGAS and not something you can get anywhere.

    Bootlegger is also very good!

I second Maggiano's - I eat there at least once every trip. It is extremely reasonably priced and the food is very, very good - the portions are very generous. Because it is in located in the Fashion Show Mall you should have no problem with wheelchair accessibility (there is definitely elevator access from the parking level and from within the Mall). DMR is right that Maggiano's is a chain but it not exactly something you can get anywhere (they don't have locations in every city and for me it is a strictly Vegas place). The food is so good you would never know it was a "chain" type place.

In the back room there are huge windows that look out onto the Strip - it is a great view to gaze at while you dine. If you do decide on Maggiano's definitely make reservations as it can get crowded and request a table for your party by the windows.

Here is some more info if you want to check it out:
