Miller Park has a roof so not so bad inside, but these idiots that have been tailgating since 10 AM are freezing their asses off. Rockies at Brewers. Brewers -1.5
Today is the Reds' opener too. We had rain mixed with snow for a bit this morning, but it is nice and sunny out now. Still a bit chilly at 45ยบ, but the city has been abuzz all morning. I think the game starts at 4:15, so I guess it's going to get chillier towards the later innings!
Years ago they always scheduled the northern teams to start the season on the road and in the south. I don't know what happened to that common sense idea.:confused2:
Teams started complaining about 9-game road trips to start the season 3-6, then coming home on April 15 to it being 42 degrees and raining sideways anyway. And the dome and south teams kept complaining that they would have too many April games (where nobody attends after opening day) and lose possible big attendance gates in the summer months or in a pennant race. Should Milwaukee, Toronto and Seattle suffer with crappy April games because teams in Minneapolis, Detroit, New York and Pittsburgh couldn't put a retractable dome on their stadiums?
