    Wow.....was I horrible ?
but Saturday I pulled off the sweatshirt +
played in my long underwear shirt --
it was nice + warm !!!
    .
I'm trying to fix my "outside to inside" swing --
    I didn't fix it.
My score was SO HIGH...I ain't tellin' - It was THAT BAD !....that I abandoned the idea
after a couple holes on my sceond round +
    just hit the ball.
I shaved 7 strokes off from the first round.
    .
My "regular" course hasn't opened, yet.

First rounds ever, or first of the season? I did the latter Sunday, quit keeping score on the second hole. Hit ~10 great shots, which was my goal. Two new [used] clubs worked great. Got 250 yards out of my first three drives...combined...;)

Glad you could get out, Joe! Even bad golf beats a helluva lot of other stuff.

I know the scoring pain. Played Rustic Canyon last week. Four birdies. Barely broke 90! I suck. lol

We're playing La Purisima on Saturday, then Sunday it's the parks/rec department fundraiser tourney at the club. We're gonna own the XX/XY Division.

I too just played my first round of the year this past weekend. I played away from my home course and had an ok round carding an 85. I couldn't hole a putt to save my life but did manage to card three birdies during the round. I just picked up a Titleist 913 D3 last week and I feel that club is going to be in the bag for a long time.

** My first rounds of this year.
    .
    During My second round -
    I was playing w/ 3 guys I didn't know.
    I made a remark early on --
That the day before "I had played w/ a guy who
did nothing but hit trees all day."
    So.......
guess who was in the tree line ALOT ?......yeh...me !
    .
    Oh yeh.......and get this ----
As my group is waiting for the first tee --
A guy comes up to me w/ a football.....introduces himself...
and then asks me to throw the ball w/ him.
    ?????
    "Why ?" I asked.
He said "You know....just to loosen everything up."
    ......huh ?.......?
    .
    I hadn't thrown a football since college.
As a former college QB ---
    I couldn't even throw a spiral !
    .
    On the 18th tee :
I said to my group -
"I'm gonna have a stiff shoulder tomorrow."
They all kinda said "Why ?....too many swings this round ?"
I said, "Hell no !...from throwin' that damn football w/ that guy !":evillaugh
    .
I'm gonna hide from that guy if I see him next weekend !

    a FOOTBALL????????

i've heard some bizarre golf stories, and that's near the top of the list! Who the h carries a football around in their bag?

my group would be more inclined to pull out a bottle of Crown, and say c'mon guys, help me lighten up my bag...:drunk:
