I just pulled up FB and one of my Vegas "friends" on there is reporting it is engulfed in a four alarm fire as I type. I will try and find some news links.
Found one: http://www.8newsnow.com/story/21822721/breaking-news-crews-battling-large-fire-at-abandoned-key-largo-casino
not surprised so many of the old, worn down casinos close up and sit vacant until they are demolished or mysteriously burn up. never visited this... i didn't wander off strip in the early years of my vegas visits.

Key Largo was right outside my room last month at Hard Rock. I had a corner suite, so I had views out 2 sides and it was out the north side windows. I know they were trying to sell the place for $48 Million. http://www.lvcolliers.com/htmlreports/htmlreport_main.aspx?pstring=1016052097.30
what i was told by a wordo once upon a time is that you weren't electrocuted unless you died. (my dictionary says otherwise.) if the dude lived, he was merely "shocked," or so i was told. the story i saw about that dude from 2008 didn't say if the guy eventually died from his burns as a result of the shocking revelation about the power box. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/J91ti_MpdHA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I think it's safe to assume it's suspicious. If it were colder, I'd wonder if it was a homeless person who was trying to keep warm inside the building. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Ru2tsT32pHA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Apparently, a copper thief started the fire. Grabbed a power box wire, with the power still on. Not a fun way to go... (he's alive for now) http://www.8newsnow.com/story/8319370/copper-theft-blamed-for-key-largo-fire
Argh... I didn't realize I was reading an article about a previous fire. The article I linked was from 2008.
that's the story i was referring to when i wrote about the difference between electrocution and shocking. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/0gkPrghJXm4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
