Comes to around +50k as of his last update. He's luckier than a leprechaun with a Horseshoe up his ass. Nice going UK. What does that put you YTD? Must be around +200k.

UK... PLEASE provide details about the Bathhouse visit! I'm trying to decide between MB Spa & Bathhouse for May. Thanks!

Kbaby, between the two you mentioned, I prefer the BathHouse. We usually stay at Four Seasons, but I still go to the BathHouse spa. I just enjoy the ambiance better than the MB spa. The Four Seasons spa is great, but it isn't my preferred ambiance. Of course, your mileage may vary. :)

I'm sure those expensive 'bathhouse' spas are nice... when I stay downtown, a couple of boxes of 'Eno' in the rust-stained bathtub gives me, I'm sure, pretty much the same experience for a fraction of the cost.... and leaves that bathtub (and my privates) sparkly Eno-clean!!!!

Thanks Kelly! I'll be at TheHotel so, that works great!

Flusher - That sounds really "organic" If the Bathhouse doesn't do it, I'll give your method a try :poke:

Up for the year to date, but I had a losing trip in February that I did not write about here. So not up as much as you would think

Easy. Skip Bathhouse! I am going to write a final report in just a moment, with some details about that spa

OK, time for the final report/tally:

I think my last report was the roller coaster ride I took late Friday afternoon. After that, I decided I needed to slow things down. Of course, that doesn't stop poor gamblers logic to enter the equation.

I play a little craps Fridsay evening and finish up break even. The good news: while I was killing time doing that, my sports bets all resolved. And my NBA bets crushed the book! Won six of the eight bets I made and realized that I had made a tidy profit of $1600 betting college and pro hoops for two days.

So now I am feeling a tad confident and decide I want to play some roulette. I love roulette, but I almost never win at it. so I won't play roulette with my money, only house money. So I decide, I need some more house money to play roulette!

Now, I recognize that all the money I had won for two days is house money, but in my mind, I already think of those winning as my money and I don't want to put it at risk. See, gambler's logic. So I hit the high limit bac table and start playing a thousand a hand. I'm only trying to get up three units so I can take that money to the single zero rouletter wheel a few feet away. Well, ten minutes later, I am down the initial $10k buyin. So of course I reach into my pocket for more $5k chips. I go down another $10k. Uh oh, I'm having flashbacks to that afternoon. Then, again, it turns.

Bank hits six in a row and I get my $20k back, plus a little extra. So now I have my money for roulette!

Buy in for $2500 and play $25 chips. I start just by betting a little on the outside. Win a couple, lose a couple, I'm hovering around even. Then I notice that the dealer is hitting an inordinate number of spots on the middle of the layout. I like playing those numbers, especially my favorite "cluster bomb" bet where I put three chips on the 23, one chip on each of the four numbers surrounding it, and one chip on ecah of the eight splits with the 23. I place the bet, dea;er spins the wheel, and it hits 23! BOOM! 205 units at $25 a chip! Yes!!!!! I keep playing a bit more, hit two more numbers and a couple splits. When its all said and done, I leave the table up $5500!

Get a good nights sleep and hit the bac table again the next morning to pass a little time before going to the Bathhouse spa. The good strake continues! I play a shoe and a half and stand up with $13,000 in profit. Again, I'm thinking of this as bonus house money. so I pocket $3500 and decide I will do something fun with the rest of it today. So I immediately walk back over to the same roulette wheel and buy in again for $2500.

I set up the cluster bomb bet and ........ 35. Oh well. This is why I don't play roulette with my own money, lol. 15 minutes later and I have lost the whole $2500. No problem, time for the spa.

I originally tried to book a massage at the Mandalay spa, but there were no times available. But there was an opening at the Bathhouse spa. Now, I went to the Bathhouse four or five years ago, I think, and did not have a good experience. But I can't really remember why. So why not give it another chance. I set up an 80 minute massage and arrive to find a virtually empty spa. There is only one attendant on duty and he keeps disappearing. Not a good beginning.

Anyway, they eventually get me to my massage a few minutes late. I tell the masseuse what I like and don't like, all of which she immediately ignores. Great. Still, the massage was average. After that, I head downstairs, get burned in the steam room (I remember now, that's what happened a few years ago in this spa) and decide I want to relax on a lounge chair. But I can't because they only have four and they are all occupied. Great. Then I go to the showers and can barely get any hot water out of it. Ultimately, I was happy to escape the bathhouse with my life.

After that, I grabbed a quick, yummy lunch at th Burger Bar and then met up with my host in the 62nd floor lounge. The lounge is a nice escape from the rest of the hotel. The host gave me a pitch to come back soon and form the 62nd floor, we looked down on the new pool construction and he told me all the changes MB has planned for the summer. He wipes out the few hundred dollars I have in room charges and I head back to my room to start getting ready to leave.

I pack and dcide to do something fun with the last $7k I have form that morning. I place $1k on the propr bet that Louisville get 15 points before Colorado State, and I place $1k on the Spurs to wint the NBA title, $1k on the Tigers to win the AL pennant, $1k on the Reds to win the NL penant, and $1k on the Braves to win the NL penant. I alos place some $100 bets on MLB season win totals.

Louisville hit a three to start the game and I am feeling pretty good. But the score eventually gets to 14/14. UL almost steals the ball in the backcourt, but Colo betas the press and scores. Booooooo! Oh well, I take my last $1k and hit the vid poker games in the high limit slot area. I play the $5 machine and twenty minutes later, I am up $750. Well, that sort of makes up for Louisville. I cash out, head upstairs, grab my bags, and its off to the airport.

Now I'm home, gambled out for a while and have to go back to the real world of work this afternoon. Bleh. But at least I go back to work with a bunch of caisno money! The final tally, up $76k! After the past week and a half, I think I need a break form gambling for a while. A hefty chunk of these winnings is going straight to my bank account, and I'll save some to add to my gambling bankroll. A couple friends have talked about wanting to go to tunica next month. Not sure if I will do that. Right now, the plan is Bellagio in early May. Not sure if I will write a TR for that trip. My exhaustion during the trip makes me feel like this wasn't so good a TR. We'll see how I feel in May.....

Once again you had me scared for a while. Thought I'd see the ending of your trip earlier and made me think of natedogg how he didn't post after a loss. Thank god it was just me. Congrats on the win and thanks for sharing.

Speaking of Natedogg he'll be there in May as well. Don't know if you'll be there together at the same time but I think that would surely be worth a TR!

Thanks! Its funny, the baccarat dealers always comment how I stay pretty even keel win or lose. But when the 23 hit, I let out a pretty loud "YES" and they all turned around and looked at me laughing

Nope, just got worn out. Three hours sleep Thursday night made most of Friday a blur. Just couldn't muster the energy to type out an update.

Nate and I have talked about playing together. We could never do craps at the same time (I play way too much don't pass), but hopefully he and I can play bac sometime. My winnings might cover his commission :faint:

See how addicting the roulette table can be? Especially if you have a cluster bomb going and it hits! That's the one game besides craps where I will shout out if I hit...

No craps but definitely Bac! I like the way you take advantage of the streaks...by how much % do you press?

Depends on if I am up or down! I don't press a lot, usually no more than six units tops
