For me it's Caesars Palace. The place feels like a trap--it's impossible to find anything, much less the way out. It feels dated and way overpriced for what you get.

    Monte Carlo.

However, it is based on a casino experience. I have not stayed in a hotel room there.

I love Vegas. And I love casinos. So I can't really say there's any place that I hate. But I do agree with your sentiment about CP:

Having said that, I still wouldn't hesitate to stay there if I "had to"...or even if it was just the most convenient option.

Tropicana burned me with 2nd degree burns in the shower years ago, since then I've never been back. Too bad, I've heard good things about the trop since they've redone it....

That is why we refer to it as the Hotel California. "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave".....

We would never use our comp nights there. Hate it!

ETA: Other than that, I can find something cute and/or charming pretty much anywhere. Even IP before now.
Oh, the LVC. Hate it too.

I don't really "hate" any hotels. There are some, however, which I don't really care for.

F'ing HATE Bellagio, MGM, and Caesars, even though I won a bunch at Caesars last trip. To me these are the 3 most "full of themselves" places that underperform the most. old sticky machines, bad service, casinos getting run down.

Its all about atttitude in my book. cocky with a reason? no problem. humble and shitty? i'm fine with that. but full of themselves and crappy? thats the worst.

The Venetian. We stayed there a few years ago, and I can't stand the scent they get pipped in. It actually makes me ill. I don't think I will ever set foot in that hotel again.

That's exactly how I feel about the MGM Grand (maybe not the dated part, but the rest of it fits). I always get lost there and just never seem to understand why it's such a big draw. And yet I'll be going back there next month if we can score seats at Tix4Tonight for Brad Garrett.

Ballys... I think it's just a crappy place. I really did not enjoy my stay there.

Aria... While a lot of hotels are "full of themselves," I think Aria takes the cake on this. I couldn't even figure out how to turn on the lights till like the 3rd day staying there with those spaceship light switches. It's very snobby, and unless you have a 100K credit line, they treat you like just another shmuck.

I wouldn't say hate. I just have no desire to go into Paris or Bally's and Harrah's.
To be fair I don't go onto the strip that much. Except for an occasional stop into the Mirage and Casino Royale.

    I don't like Cosmo
I stayed there, got a nice one bed balcony over the fountains, and while that's all nice, I found the service snobbish, the floor staff downright nasty and the gaming tighter than a tick on a hound dog.
The host that was supposed to be "my host" was slow, slow to respond to numerous emails and getting an actual confirmation # was like pulling teeth.

The place is pretty, it is nice to look at and visit, maybe drop $20, but I am not going to waste much more time or money than that unless and until it either gets new ownership or new management, and people come in a kick some employee butt.

Visually, I love Cosmo, but experience-wise, it left a very bad taste in my mouth.

LOL, true. Didya ever notice in the movies, people always turn on the faucet and immediately step inside? And when they are coming out, they immediately put on a robe without toweling off first. Weird.

As for the question at hand, I'd put THE PALMS at the top of my hated list. The patrons, staff, layout, vibe and atmosphere all make me irritated. But, I do love the buffet and the Brendan theater there.

While that might be true in that prospective there are times when people are burned from a sudden change in temp. while showering. This is due to faulty plumbing as other people start or finish showering in other rooms.

Older, poorly maintained hotels sometimes experience this.

Not much anymore. Me and PH were not friends for a long time, had some bad experiences and the parking kills me!! But I've stayed there a few times recently, and it was a good experience. Still not my favorite, but you can't beat the location. I just valet park now and stop whining about it haha. If they had more restaurants I liked, it would go way up. Also for some reason I don't like the casino there either.

I highly dislike Monte Carlo too, has nothing to offer except being close to CityCenter.

Agreed with Caesars Palace. It's a trap!!! I love my Frrrrozen Hot Chocolate, but it takes 4 hours to walk out to Serendipity haha, and forget getting out of the Forum Shops.

I feel like the gigantic hotels like CP, PH and MGM all are great to stay, because you can do a ton on property, but a HUGE pain in the ass to visit. I think when you go a lot your priorities change. I always have specific things to do on my trip and different places so it's a lot of moving around.

Not too hip on either wynn or encore.

they are just too snooty and fancy for my tastes.

Las vegas club downtown is a total dismal place too and I love downtown but even I wont hang around there. lord knows I have tried but it has this anti- vibe thing working there and its just dismal.

Mine's Caesar's Palace. I have a panic attack every time I walk in that place. There is no way out. How do I manage to get in but I can't ever find my way out.

Caesars don't care for the layout. Although I do like the Forum shops.

Stayed at the Monte Carlo one time and vowed never to go back. A very sterile atmosphere. I refer to it as "the morgue".
