Which Steakhouse out of these few?

We are trying to decide between Prime, Smith and Wollensky, Vic and Anthony's, , The Steakhouse and Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill?

Price wise we are looking to stay right around $100 for two people. My husband doesn't drink and we are not big dessert people. Thanks in advance everyone!

 

Without drinking, if you decided to drink water - you would only be able to order two steaks and MAYBE 1 side but probably not if you were to eat at Prime. I haven't had any of the others but Prime steakhouse is one of the top choices for most. I've eaten there and really enjoyed it, however, I liked Jean Georges at Aria better.

 

I believe that all if not most of these have an online menu, for pricing.

 

Getting out for under $100 for two will be tough at alot of steakhouses.
I haven't looked at the other web sites. This place came highly recommended by a couple of friends and the reviews on yelp and TA are really good. Have our reservations for a Sunday night

I love smith and wollensky's. But coming in under 100 is gonna be tough. Most of the steaks are in the $40-50 range but you might be able to score a good deal with the prix fixe menu or an item off the featured list. Sometimes they have other specials when you get there. Even if you have to throw in a few extra bucks you are not gonna be disapointed with the meal there.
I beleive most of the steaks there are dry aged in house except for the filet.

 

I guess I should rephrase. If we go over it isn't that big of a deal. It is our first time in Vegas and we will be celebrating our wedding anniversary. We just want to make sure that we get the best taste and experience without breaking the bank. We really want to make sure that we get to eat the best food while we are there.

 

I organised a dinner for a group of friends last summer at Vic & Anthony's and it was a superb evening. The food, atmosphere and service were all excellent and I cannot recommend it enough.

 

I can't vouch it... and guess it will not be up to the standard of the places you listed, but this may be worth a look:

$99 for 3 courses for 2 people and a bottle of wine - presumably it won't include sides tho(?)

Others may be able to direct you as to how worthwhile it is - we're hoping to try it on our next trip

You might be okay at The Steakhouse, but I have to give my answer that I always give when I see this question. I recommend Charlie Palmer Steak at the Four Seasons. They do a "cut of the week" that is three courses with wine for 48/pp. It's not always a steak, but is some kind of well-prepared red meat. I've yet to be disappointed in my meals there.

 

Have not tried the others, but loved, loved, Vic & Anthony's. Everything Marky said and more, with a great old time Vegas feel. Would have been romantic too, but I was there with my DiL! Don't forget to try a crabcake!

Most if not all steakhouses have their menus posted online. Take the guesswork out of it and google it..Here for example is the menu from The Steakhouse at Circus Circus..

I can personally vouch for this place.. The surrounding areas (CC Casino) are not so nice but if you just go there to eat you will be pleasantly surprised at the quality.. Also they include starters and sides with their steaks so what you see is what you will pay (except for tax and tips)..

I have been to many other steak houses that were better but also much more expensive. Last time the wife and I went to Delmonicos I dropped $250 incl tip.. Of course you have to think that a glass of wine is $25.. When I ordered sparkling water it came out to $20 but they bring the whole bottle in ice much like they would bring champagne. Bone in Rib-Eye is $52, you want "Oscar Style"? that's an extra $20. The list goes on and on.. They charge "Ala Carte" for everything.

We've been to many of the steakhouses in Vegas (Prime, Brand, Craftsteak, Delmonicos, etc.) but, we always go back to Strip House at Planet Hollywood. We also like Mortons. Right now, Mortons has a steak and seafood special for 59.99 per person (it's not on the menu, you have to ask for it). You get ALOT of food for the money. Here's the link. You may end spending more than $100, but I vote for Prime because it's the best.

 

This. Best dining experience ever, but it will run you about $150 per person.

 

I did this last fall and it did not disappoint for the price. We did the T-bone and I think you are correct about the sides, you need to get that seperately (typical $8-10 per side that you can split). Like I said it was good for the price but I if you are planning on doing only one really good steakhouse for the trip then I would say go with one of the other options. The quality of the steak was good but does not compare to a dry aged Smith and Wollensky steak. But if you time it right you can do the $1 oyster happy hour and the steak dinner and get out of there for under $120 before tax and tip. This meal will cost you about half of what one of the nicer steakhouses would charge for the same thing and thats why i say its very good for the price.

 

I have eaten at 3 of the places you listed. V&A's is consistently the best. The Steakhouse is more reasonable price wise and has a great old Vegas atmosphere. The steak however I did not think was as good as V&A's. I did not enjoy Wolfgang Pucks B&G and I thought it was overpriced for the quality of the food.

I would like to try a couple of the other places listed but my wife always insists on V&A for out steakhouse trip. We have a week long trip coming up in August so hopefully I can squeeze in another restaurant.

Usually we make our steakhouse trip our one splurge meal. I think our last V&A's for 4 ran over $500 but we had wine, desserts etc.
