Have narrowed it down to these 3. We are 2 couples in our 50's and want a pool that gets good sun during the day and not too crouded (i.e. Flamingo is way too crowded) and don't want to have to get down there early to secure chairs. The difference in prices between these 3 is: Bally's is the cheapest, TI is about $160 more for 6 nights; and Monte Carlo is about $180 more. Which would you pick? Like I had said in an earlier post we don't mind buying some drinks at the pool but when we have stayed at Bally's in the past we purchase a beer or 2 at the store in the casino, put in our bag and bring it into the pool with no problems. Definitely need the help of experts!
We always stay at either Paris or Bally's & are just a little older that you. We love the low key atmosphere in the casino and enjoy the pool that seems to have full sun most all day. There are not a lot of kids, the music is pretty good and the volume is just right for us. We've never had an issue bringing our drinks in the pool area either and end up buying one of the big foo-foo drinks too. Love that it is not real crowded and it is easy to get a lounger. Hope you have a great trip whichever place you stay.
Thanks Sybgal. At first we were thinking it would be fun to stay someplace else but after looking at prices and hearing that they check bags at the other pools we were leaning back to Bally's. The only thing that may change our mind is if our son and his friend (age 25) go and then I'm wondering if we should stay somewhere else where they could be around the younger croud.
I think TI might be a nice compromise between the older and younger groups. My mom and I have stayed at both, and she was very comfortable at Bally's, but she did acknowledge it wasn't the most youthful of vibes. We both enjoyed our stay at TI, and I thought the rooms were a big step up from the rooms at Bally's. I'm assuming that you have signed up for the TI guestbook so that you can get the discounts. They tend to have some decent sales.
I'd go with Bally's. I will be at Bally's twice this year and have stayed at Bally's many times in the past. The great thing about Bally's is it's connected to Paris and Planet Hollywood is just a hop, skip, and jump away. Also, if you take the 2 25 year old's, you can still stay at Bally's and have the youngsters spend lots of time at Planet Hollywood. I presume you have a TR card?
I was going to suggest the same thing, stay at Bally's, send the kids to PH. If they want a livelier pool scene they can pay to get into Flamingo or Cosmopolitan. I love Bally's, its my home Casino! There is something for everyone.
Thanks all. Waverunner, we are TR members. I was hoping that would allow us to use all of the Caesar property fools but doesn't look like it.
They have tightened up pool policies, I would call and confirm when you check in about other properties. Flamingo will be out for sure. Pool policies change on whims with CET, so I would check on Caesars when I get into town.
Captainron.......i love Bally's as well. But i think i made a mistake when i booked Rio back in Jan. RIO and Bally's was booked before March 1st and i'm also staying at Bally's in August post resort fees. When i booked Rio in Jan. it was because Bally's wasn't comped, but now it is. But if i change the Reso to Bally's in May they will charge me $75 on resort fees on a comped room even though the room was booked prior to March 1st. And on top of that, if i stay at Rio (with no resort fees and comped), they want me to pay $20 x 5 = $100 for the use of the Adult pool.............LOL.
