The wife and I have tickets for Absinthe on a Saturday night of our upcoming trip to Vegas. We're looking to do a decent dinner before the show at 5pm or so. What would you suggest for a dinner for 2 in the $100 range? Anything between MB and Wynn/Encore would fit the bill as we don't mind walking.

Edit - $150-$200 range would work as well, don't want too. Just don't want a $500+ dinner for 2.

Trevi, near the fountain of the Gods at Caesar's Palace....right in your price range and good food for the price.

a bunch of the restaurants inside Aria have really 'early bird' (between 5-7 pm) prix fixe menus.

I did PJ Clarke's inside the forum shop on my last trip:
soup/salad, steak and dessert with a bottle of wine for $100.

it was actually pretty good. Plus if you are a fan of oysters you may be right in time for their $1 oyster happy hour.

For the $150 - 200 range I would personally go to smith and wollensky's steakhouse ( on the strip between walgreens and MGM Grand). $200 should be more than enough for a appetizer, 2 steaks, a side and a couple glasses of wine.

I think that the Old Homestead Steakhouse in Caesars would work for you for under $200. I though it was very good when we ate there.

Depends what kind of cuisine your looking for. You said $100-$200 range so I'm assuming you want some place nice too. Bellagio has some excellent restaurants that I enjoy going to when I want a great meal you can only get in Vegas.

You can't go wrong with their steakhouse called Prime. There is not a bad item on the menu, and nice wine list too.

My personal favorite is their chinese restaurant called Jasmine. The Peking duck is the best I have ever had and it's something you can not get anywhere else.

Personally, I would eat at Caesars. Nothing worse than ruining dinner with a worry about getting to the show on time. We love to walk as well, but do not want to run after dinner.

There are a ton of options in Caesars and at the Forum Shoppes. Bobbie Flays is another suggestion. Closer to $100 plus drinks.
