I am thinking of booking a couple of nites at the Gold Coast in May. I was wondering if there is a bus I can take from the airport? Or should
I just bite the bullet & take a cab?
    TIA

You can jump on the shuttle and, if you don't mind a few stops at other properties, get to the GC in a reasonable amount of time for under $10. If you have multiple people in your party, take a cab.

Gold Coast is a good location with many good places to eat...have fun.

Shuttle to Gold Coast will be cheap but annoying. I took one a couple years ago and it was the very last place after Venetian, Harrah's, Flamingo, Mirage, TI and Rio.

Bus -- Take the 108 to Flamingo Road, then take the 202 to Gold Coast. Slow, but manageable.

Cab shouldn't be much more than $25, if they take the right route -- Swenson to Paradise to Flamingo.

    airport to Gold Coast

Thanks for the replys & the GC bus info.
There will be 3 of us. So might have to rethink the car rental thing. We were planning on renting one after 2 nites at the GC anyway. Planning on taking my 83 yr. old mother to Laughlin for a couple of nites.
I appreciate your help. I will be asking a lot more questions as the trip draws nearer.
    Thanks!

We went from the airport to Gold Coast yesterday morning. Took the 109 north (missed the 108 by 1 minute), and caught the 202 at Flamingo staight to GC. With 2 hour passes and "old fart cards" it cost a total of $3 for the two of us. I've spent longer on shuttles before!

I have a car reserved to rent for the week. I doubt we will use it much the first 2 days. Its there if we want though.
My husband & I are a little leary of taking a couple buses at 10:pM If we didn't have to switch buses I'd go for it.
Turtleman what is an old fart card? I'm thinking its a senior bus pass, is that right?

You got it right! You can get a reduced fare photo ID at the transportation centers or show a Medicare card for half off on "residential" routes. It doesn't apply to the Duece or SDX. (I've never tried the Medicare card, but they list it as acceptable.)
