Vdara panoramic vs. Aria panoramic corner

I'm looking to switch my 4th night of my May trip at CP to something else. I have $700 in express comps to spend. I am considering Vdara panoramic suite for $215 - or an Aria panoramic corner suite for $280.

In fact, if I book the Vdara, I may double book my last night at the Bellagio - that way in the morning, I can just move to Vdara and not be homeless for hours.

Has anyone stayed in a Vdara panoramic suite - they sure look nice from the pictures.

 

I spent about a week in it and it was really nice. I've only stayed in a regular room in the Aria, but I liked the Vdara better.

The drawbacks of the Vdara are the no casino and the pool area is pretty small. But, for the casino, it's connected to the Bellagio and close to the Aria (Cosmo is about the same distance but more of a pain to get to). And, I don't really use the pool.

There is a small to-go cafe/convenience store in the lobby of the Vdara for quick eats and a small bar. The gym/spa is very adequate as well.

Personally, for the price and amenities, I love the Vdara. Would absolutely stay there again over paying more at the Aria.

In any event, if you wait until at least noon to leave the "old" hotel and then head to the new one, you might get lucky and be able to checkin when you get there. If you can get a late checkout at CP - that would help even more. Depends a little on the day of the week that you make the move as well.

 

I have not stayed in a Vdara Panoramic Suite but I did stay in a Vdara Executive Suite that was right across from the panoramic suite, and when the blinds were up I could see right into it. It was a beautiful room (so was the Executive Corner Suite!).

I did stay in an Aria Panoramic Corner Suite last year and I loved it. Vdara has the edge because the Aria Panoramic Corner suite doesn't have the full kitchen that VDara has - there is a full size stainless steel fridge (including an icemaker and a spigot that dispenses filtered water inside the fridge so you can fill up a water bottle if you are heading out on the strip). VDara also offers a washer/dryer, which allows you to pack lighter. Before you check out you can launder everything so you have fresh clothes for the rest of your stay and less to do when you get home.

Both rooms are winners. I like the feel of Vdara better. The little store in the lobby of Vdara is for desperate emergencies only IMO because the selection is not that extensive (it is very tiny) but as was said above, you are right between Bellagio and Aria with plenty of dining options. I did enjoy buying milk, creamer and cereal and having a leisurely breakfast in my VDara suite before showering and heading out for the day. They supply you with a Keurig coffeemaker and coffee. You just ask housekeeping for whatever you need (plates, cutlery, soap for the dishwasher or washing machine etc).

Another difference are the pools: the pool at VDara is not very large and is not that impressive. I have yet to set foot in it, even though I have stayed at VDara several times. The pool at Aria is gorgeous.

One more consideration - my Aria Panoramic Corner Suite had an incredible view -the Strip, The Bellagio Fountains, the rear mountains where Rio is - but the noise from Marquee at The Cosmo was a big downer. They have a day and night club, so you do hear heavy thumping from the bass when the clubs are open. I use earplugs so it wasn't too bad, but there were times when you could feel the windows vibrate when the music was pumping especially hard.

My room at Vdara did have a similar view and there was a similar issue with the bass, but not quite as bad as the Aria room, which was physically closer to Marquee.

Bring earplugs for either one, just in case.

Nostresshere - sorry - didn't mean to be confusing. I'm just looking for a comparison of Vdara and Aria panoramic suites. I am at Bellagio for 3 nights and my 4th night is currently at CP. That's the night I'm looking to switch out to either Vdara or Aria.

Where I was probably confusing you was that I was considering double-booking my 3rd night at both Bellagio and Vdara too. One night in a hotel - when you can't check in until 3:00 and have to be out by 11:00 doesn't really give you much time there. I have plenty of express comps I could spend on the Vdara room.

 

I've stayed in a City Corner (which I'm guessing Panoramic is just an even better view), and it was amazing! Beautiful view, huge room, it actually kinda felt like home. It was really nice. Highly recommend!!

But Aria, has all the amenities.. so I guess it depends what you are looking for. But it's easy enough to walk there from Vdara.

 

Stayed in a Vdara corner suite last March, and loved it.

Got reservations for a Vdara non-corner suite in April, which I think is the same thing layout and space-wise, just without a view.
