Gold Coast buffet and "B' Card.

I'm staying at RIO and normally dine on the Strip. Gold Coast is next door and they are showing food prices a lot cheaper than RIO and the Strip. My question is, the Buffet is $7.99 and dinner is $9.99 with a "B' card. If i open the card at Gold Coast would it work at the buffet? Or do you have to acquire points on the card before dining? I will be at the RIO for a week and saving money on dining at Gold Coast seems like it's a nice alternative. But if i walk in, open a "B', card, can i walk right over to the Buffet with my card and save some money?

 

Yup, just sign up for a card, then walk over to the buffet. No play on the card is required for the discounted price of the buffet.

 

Thank's for the response. That's great, lunch and dinner at Gold Coast with the card. I know it's only a buck or two per meal, but saving a few dollars during the week, especially since i'm going solo this trip, will help.

 

If you have the American Casino Guide, one coupon gets you once a year a free buffet with 200 points of play. They do have 9/6JOB

 

Gold Coast breakfast buffet is quite good too. We make it a point to go there every time.

For 2-3x the price at some strip places you dont get the quality and selection at gold coast. Also, I played 5 dollar blackjack at GC last year until I lost my 50 bucks, no other play at all. I got 2 free nights sent to me, which I will be using during Fri and Sat night for March Madness

(I have no idea why it says "Now Even Better," as you used to be able to get a free meal for 300 points on select days. I don't find getting a 2for for fewer points nearly as good.)

I see you mentioned this....Tell me plz, if you get a 2/1 buffet with the 10 points, do you have to use the 2/1 buffet on the same day, or can you wait till the following day? We are going next week. Thanks.

 

When I've gotten the buffet for points in the past, you had to earn the points and go to the buffet on the same day. They've evidently changed things, however, so I can't be sure what the rules are now. Just check at the Player's Club. And have a great trip; we'll be checking into the GC next Monday morning.

 

The Gold Coast buffet is a great value. I am at the Rio now, and have eaten there 3 out of the 5 days I've been here. Also, check out the Palms. $5.99 breakfast, and $7.99 lunch. I'm going to try the lunch buffet, right now.

over 50 bummer

I called the Gold Coast, and they verified that you have to earn the points and go to the buffet on the same day. I personally think this is kind of hokey, as the lunch buffet ends at 3 or 4 pm., so you have to scurry over there, play, and eat before 4 pm. Bummer. JMHO.

 

I'm not quite understanding the need for the rush. I have mostly used this coupon in the morning for breakfast, but it is good for the supper buffet as well (except on seafood Fridays.)
200 points is not much and does not take long to earn.

I just wish we could do it more than once a year.

 

Over 50 Tuesday only at the GC

My " rush " was in respect to the over 50 Tuesday only at the GC, not the coupon in the ACG. It seems somebody has a habit of trying to correct me ( the gourging was also taken way out of content also). I personally am in Lost Wages for a limited time, and want to deal with it accordingly.

 

Ah, I get it. Poor reading on my part. Thanks. I do agree that the senior deals have been cut back. No hopping around Boyd anymore with one day at one and another day at another. Everything is now on Tuesday.

 

I'm hesitant to jump back into the fray, but I read the new 50 Tuesday as only requiring a measly 10 points the first time, then 100, then 200 on subsequent usages. You can get 10 points in less than 5 minutes. That sounds like a lot better deal than using a once per year coupon that's good on any day.

I have not been to LV in over 5 years....It just seems to me that Boyd, Station, CET, etc. are taking away all the " bennies" that I was accustomed to previously. Stopped going to AC because of these cutbacks ( resort fees, to stay in that AC undesirable area? ). I remember when ( gawd do I sound old now...LOL ). I remember when I went to a GC or Orleans buffet at 5 pm, I swear I was still full the next day ( not a fussy eater, goes in one way, etc.). Really looking for good VP, and dewey has been very helpful. Thanks.

 

One deal that is not gone the last I knew was that MSS downtown still gives you a same day (or next morning breakfast) buffet for a certain amount of play with no point reduction on your first day of play there after a while away. It required substantial coin it, and different for lunch of dinner, but it added to the EV of good VP as do that scratch cards for quads still there as well. You got it right at the Player's club after putting the coin through.
