Yes you have seen it.....rubbing the screen.....making all kinds of voodoo writing/marks on the screen.....talking to the machine (gosh I do that when playing VP). I would not call changing machines a superstition but I will change machines in a heart beat (I am not in love with any machine when its not producing). I will change the way I hit deal when I go several hands and not hit anything. Will it actually make a difference (not really) but it makes me feel better.

What's one or more of you superstitions that makes (lol) you a winner---errrr feel better? Maybe I'll try it!!!!!!!!!!.

I always play with new money. That is, I always use the chips that I won to place my next bet. It's easy enough to do in blackjack; in craps, I use whatever the last chips that were pushed to me (since winnings on a pass line bet with odds are going to be more than whatever my betting unit is).

Lol I do the exact opposite. I keep betting the chips I won with figuring they're carrying good luck. Also if a new player jumps in I drop my bet to table min unless they seem very fun and lively then I press it up a lot.

In VP whenever I get garbage for four or five hands in a row I pause for a little bit and take a sip of my drink or check my email/texts hoping the RNG shuffles the deck into a more favorable configuration.

We have a little G.I. Joe a kid gave me about 10 years ago on flight to LV. As we got off the plane I tried to give it back him, and said to keep him he was good luck. We came home up like 4g. Left Joe home last trip in Jan. because I couldn't him, and was down like 3g. Let me tell ya, I hunted till I found Joe, and he is packed for this trip.

    Gosh...I have several...

    1. When I'm really doing poorly, I break out the (now) laminated 4-leaf clover my wife found, picked & gave to me back in 1984 - and place it on the table next to my chip stack.
    2. If permitted (on 2-deck BJ), I will sit out a hand (or for the rest of the deck, if it's not permitted) in order to change up a crappy table/deck.
    3. I always flip my previously bet chips over after any push.
    4. During shuffles, I often attempt to stand a chip on its edge within my betting square or circle. When successful, it stays there until the dealer knocks it down.
    5. When playing 3-card, if available, I always sit in the first base spot so as to never have my cards changed by an arriving player. (I've missed far too many straight-flushes & trips by hit-n-run players who grab the spot just to my right.)
    6. When cutting the cards in 2-deck BJ after a particularly nasty deck, I will flip & turn the cut-card around from how the dealer handed it to me before I cut.
    7. New player shows up & is given the cut card? I loudly announce to the table that it's time to press - and I always do.
    8. If my table-goal is to win X hundred & I get to exactly X hundred minus $10, I color out & leave.

(yeah - I know none of this stuff makes any real difference [probably], but it doesn't hurt anything...so who knows?)

When I use the washroom for the first time in a Casino, I remember what Urinal I use, if I am winning I come back to that Urinal, if loosing I choose a different Urinal. I keep changing Urinals while losing.

I try not to have superstitions but this one has stuck with me.

    1. - I'm playing a slot machine and it is not paying very well, if it still has a handle on the side, I give it a pull now and then to mess with the RNG. This changes things and sometimes I win.

    2. - Attached to my players cards is a tiny Maneki Neko for good luck. This will be my first trip using him, so we'll see if he is as good as a G.I. Joe! :faint:

If it's a new shooter at the craps table, I always lower my bets unless it's a blonde woman.

If somebody does something stupid at the table, I take all my bets off for the next roll. This includes hands hitting the dice, someone taking a ridiculously long time to make a bet...anything that breaks the vibe.

When playing two hands at blackjack I only tip on one hand at a time. If I like the dealer, I have him/her pick the hand.

I never quit on a winner. I'll play one more hand of video poker, go one more shooter in craps, one more hand of BJ until I get one that loses.

Generally not, but I have had some superstitions with clothes in the past year. Mainly a shirt I have bought at the Flamingo gift shop later in the night after hitting this at the Flamingo:

Also a pair of boxers with $100 bills on them. But they have had a few horrible sessions lately, so they have been ruled out. I used to to wear poker underwear while playing live poker, but those have been ruled out as well.

And the local casino today, one lady next to me kept knocking the machine screen for a Super Times Pay multiplier. She got one in roughly 50 deals...lol

Not necessarily a superstition, but I always cash out my ticket after I double the money I put in or get a big win. Not superstitious, just money management to make sure I don't put it all back....right away.

Plus seeing a nice big ticket dollar amount makes me all giddy. :evillaugh

Omg yes yes yes! That's me.

    Also I have:

    - vacate the area immediately upon seeing or hearing someone pull the lever on a slot machine instead of hitting the button
    - wife does not cut the cards, I know she isn't playing but she's also not touching anything associated with the cards, super double mush that she is
    - only play high limit slots in the morning after waking up, never after the hour of noon for the remainder of that day

    craps superstitions

Reasons to find a new table:

    1. People making field bets on the end of the table where the dice are landing.

    2. Someone making numerous prop bets on every roll.

    3. The guy standing next to me says he hasn't won a bet all night...

    1. When playing Roulette, I only place my (outside) bets once the ball is spinning. I sometimes wait until the dealer is about to call no more bets.

    2. When playing Craps, since I am a Don't Pass player, I usually avoid first time rollers. You know the type, the ones who can barely throw the dice hard enough to hit the back wall. The ones who bet minimum pass line with no odds, or the ones who ask "Was that good?" after every roll. They seem to make me bankrupt lol.

    3. When playing slots, I always play the sound at a high level. I hate slots with the sound broken or set to low. I want to hear those bonuses coming!

    4. When playing poker, I always look at the first card dealt, then the second, then both of them together. Just a force of habit I guess. Some people wait until both are dealt, or until it's their turn to bet, but not me.

I don't know about you but the Slot Machine I've been playing on and losing on ALWAYS seems to hit right after i give up and leave. I've found a fix for that.

Sometimes I cash out, stand up and circle the chair. I sit back down, put in cash (never the ticket I cashed out) and start playing fresh. I'm tricking the machine into thinking I'm the "next" player and it will give me that big hit.

I'm sure it doesn't really know or care but surprisingly it works more than 50% of the time and I get a good hit or bonus right away, so I keep doing it.

So many years ago I am in vegas with my brother who had never been before. I am in the poker room and can see him sitting at a 25c reel machine and the lady next to him see's he is doing pretty good so asks him to rub some of that luck to her machine. He rubs the side of her machine and she hits triple bars.

Well from that point on anyone who sits down close to them he gets up and rubs their machine and sits down again. Some people are annoyed at this and others join right in and they are all rubbing machines back and forth. He said it was the most fun he has had since divorcing his wife..

If we go to a casino now I do not go with him to a bank of machines as he will sit down and before he pushes the button he will rub the machines on either side even if someone is playing them.
