Oh yea, every time I play VP, I sit there and say I sure wish I could change the background color of my machine.:poke:

I don't like the WMS machines. I've tried them and they feel much much much tighter than the old IGT Game Kings. I don't trust the randomness of them. They have them in Harrahs AC and are replacing the old IGT machines and I haven't heard anyone who's been pleased by this.

That's tough for regular locals. I used to be satisfied with "decent" paytables, but I now only play three machines: 9/6 JOB, 10/7 DB or FPDW. FPDW is kind of boring for me (hunting for twos) and due to the high variance and short playing time (a few/several days vs. an entire year) I prefer FP DB or 9/6 JOB for may Vegas trips. If I lived out there, I would likely stick to FPDW (100.76%) if I could.

I hope the newly independent Aliante Station doesn't pull the FPDW and hurt the Cruiser. I love when he sticks it to the casinos, and his trip reports and mega coin-in are fun to follow.

Aria has 6 of those new WMS machines in the area by Spin. I played at the dollar level and ran $700 total through 3 different machines and never even got a full house on any of the 3 machines. :grrr: I will not be investing another dollar in a WMS video poker machine--it's clear that the RNG's in these are much different than the IGT machines.

Also, didn't see many other people playing these either.

I would hope WMS wouldn't be stupid enough to violate Nevada and New Jersey law by having an RNG behave differently. What is for sure though is that these "My Poker" machines rarely have paytables above 99%, and are more often near 97%, so they will seem tighter than a lot of the machines they have been replacing because they simply are tighter.

The reason I played these was because the DDB paytable was 9/5 for DDB just like the regular IGT games or about a 98.1% payback. The difference is that the royal flush on these machines was $5000 rather than the $4000 that it is on the 9/5 games. Thus, these machines should have been a better payback than the IGT games. Unfortunately, that was not the case for me as I also only had 1 flush in the entire $700 debacle.

Yeah, I would play myPoker over the others if all the other machines are 9/5, and of course, they are (or worse) since its CET and 9/5 DDB is the best they offer in Vegas.

It sounds like you just had a really bad session of DDB, easily enough to do when big hands are noticeably absent. If the machines also paid $275 vs $250 on the Straight Flush then that's a 98.45% game and will be one of the better dollar machines you'll find for CET sadly. In the short-term though, losing or winning several hundred dollars is really par for the course. :( One of the reasons I stick to quarters or less. My poorness is even a bigger reason for that...lol

I played one of the mypoker winning streak machines at Boulder Station on Wednesday. They seemed sort of like a version of multi strike. I don't specifically remember the pay tables, but I was playing job and in 15 minutes turned 20.00 into 80.00. I think the machines are kind of strange looking, and I prefer the traditional video poker machines. Of a greater concern is the fact that the Station casinos seem to have drastically reduced their comps. I have been getting free rooms at Red Rock and GVR for the past 4 years. My play has steadily increased yet for Feb/Mar/Apr I was being asked to pay for rooms at Red Rock and GVR and had no offers for any of the other Stations properties. I have good enough offers from Boyd and the Silvrton that I would never pay for a room at a Station property. As of now, the Stations have lost my business. I hope their comp policy changes as I like a lot of their places...especially Red Rock and Sunset Station.

I've only played the winning streak version at the rio over New Years and I kicked its ass. I won 11 hands in a row including 1 full house and quad 8's. sadly I wasn't playing dollars as that would have been a real payday. I had that nice streak about 25 hands in and left after I lost so the 40 or so hands I played were pretty good to me.

Wifey and I are hoping to stay at the new Aliante Casino in May, 2013. I sure hope they still have those FPDW machines.

When you are hot it is a big winner, but when your not, it sucks up like a vacuum. I have never played it for real money yet, so I feel terribly unfortunate that I have done this on play money.

Am I the only one who prefers the WMS machines?

I've got a lucky one at the MGM Grand in Vegas that I always play that usually saves me and replenishes my bankroll after a bad blackjack session. I like to play 55/7/5 BP on these, not the best paytable, but for the strip it's pretty darn good.

And I saw one in Harrahs with the same paytable as the MGM Grand, which is shocking because their payables are usually deplorable.

Simply tighter? Shouldn't the number of winning hands and types of hands be the same and not tighter. Isn't the paytable on VP what makes it a "tighter" machine?

My complaint was that there was noticeably less winning hands.

I read through the article, and saw no mention specifically of the two Fiesta properties, which have usually had more full-pay VP than the other Stations' properties. Are the Fiestas being changed as well ... ???

Uhhhhh ... that's exactly what I wrote above ("two"), but they are part of the Stations chain. And that's why I asked my question ....

I'd like to know also...Fiesta Henderson is my go-to spot for FP Deuces Wild. I could live with just under 100%, but if I know 100%+ exists elsewhere, I will go there for most of my play.

What I posted is right from Vegas INC. I have no idea as to which casinos.
