I tried a search with no luck, but are there any people on here that frequent the M Resort? I've only been there one time to try their buffet and didn't bother gambling at that time. I saw they had a poker room and a decent sized casino, really pretty big from what I remember actually. Very nice looking place inside too, I was considering renting a car next trip in Vegas and spending an afternoon there.

I say... "go for it"! I went out there several times after they opened and liked it. Really enjoyed their pool area. I have several friends who live in the area and that's their "spot". The rooms are outstanding for the price.

What exactly are your questions about the place? We stay there at least once a year, and stop in almost every trip. Good food, great service, pints of Sierra Nevada from the CWs near 32 Below...what's not to like? If you rack up points on your player's club account you can get a great buffet and keep your points as well.

The M is my favorite off-strip casino. The hotel and casino have a very upscale, elegant feel and there are a wide variety of gaming choices - but you know that already since you have been there :). There are some very good dining choices in addition to the buffet too, including a Hash House a Go Go.

It is an easy drive down the Strip (just keep going south on Las Vegas Boulevard, past the South Point resort until you see the M looming on your left) or you can take the highway. I would definitely recommend it - I go there several times each trip!

I'm curious as to how much a cab ride would be out to the M from the Wynn.

You could probably rent a car for a day for less than a cab ride would cost. :D

There is a shuttle that runs from M Resort to Fashion Show Mall and back every hour from 6am to 9pm.

Wow, I didn't know that - I will have to take that shuttle!

Don't count on the shuttle - here is the page from LVA that says it is for hotel guests only and you will be required to show a room key in order to use it (not sure how strict they are, but hotel guests will definitely have priority):

I took a cab back from the M to the Aria and it was about $25. It might be worth it to rent a car for one day so you can stay as long as you like, and since you have the car anyway it would more than pay for itself by allowing you to visit other spots.

In October I wanted to check it out. I payed with tip around $40 The driver asked me, are you sure? Do you know where it is? I said yes. I was up anyway for the trip anyway from slot machine wins.
It is very nice, nothing around it. Just a destination resort. I played only about 2 hrs or so and caught the shuttle back to Fashion show mall. They didn't ask for a room key or anything on the shuttle. Mind you it was early in the day and not very crowded. Be sure to check the shuttle schedule as I believe it runs about every 2 hours. Forget when it stops running.

On our last two trips to Vegas in 2011 & 2012 we took the shuttle from the fashion mall to M. No mention of room keys in fact 1 trip we were the only 2 people on board. Well worth the trip we went to the buffet which was realy good + free wine

I've found the M Resort has the nicest staff of any Las Vegas casino whether it be valet, waitresses, cocktail servers, player's booth, dealers. It's so much nicer to lose you're money to people who are friendly!

I spent a night @ M resort last fall, then the next 2 nights @ Vdara.

Hotel and resort-wise M is really nice. I ate at the buffet (lunch), and the burger place, and was happy with both. Didn't get a chance to visit the pool, it rained most of the day.

I loved the beer+video poker bar. Friendly staff and quick service, and good VP paytables.

Didn't get a chance to play poker, but it was the middle of the week and I don't think they had many games running.

I was a smidge disappointed not to find a $5 blackjack or craps table, but went downtown the following night for that.

Cab fare from M to city center was about $40 w/ tip if I remember correctly.

If you've got a car, definitely head down there. If you don't, there are probably better gambling options closer to the Wynn (downtown, Orleans, Gold Coast, etc).

There is a cocktail waitress in there that works the day shift- I know, typically the very hot CW's work evening-night shifts, but she is one of the best looking women I have ever laid eyes on. Most are well above average, but that one trumps all.

For awhile they had too many locals using the shuttle as a way to get to their jobs on the Strip. The key was a good way to stop that. The shuttle has never been full when I used it and there was no problem getting on.

The only thing is to arrive at Fashion Show early and know where you pick up the Shuttle. What they show online may have changed. Call the M to get instructions.

For us, used to be worth the trip but, then Cantor took over the sportsbook...a bad move for both customer service and the ability to get a drink, they severly tightened up the slots and the buffet is now in the average range even though they continue to raise the prices.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms very nice. It used to be a destination for us but, now we go to SouthPoint and don't try to figure out a way to get to the M if only for a few hours.

That's a shame. I used to love that sportsbook. You could get drink tickets and use them at 32 degrees, which is a great beer bar. Comped sierra nevada on tap? Yes please. I'm told you can't get the drinks anymore at the book.

I was really disappointed when we went for lunch at the buffet a few weeks ago.

I used to love having my fill of their cocktail shrimp and now it's no longer available for lunch on weekdays. Don't know about dinner as we only stop by for lunch every other trip or so. (They still have their seafood buffet on Fri-Sat-Sun but we seldom go to Vegas for a weekend) I no longer consider it a rival for Bellagio or Wynn buffets. It's a clean, cheery atmosphere but the selections have dwindled, although the quality of what remains is still good.
Their gelato is still scrumptious and the desserts are pretty tasty too.

Hub still likes it a lot because it has all the selections he enjoys. I'm not so happy with them right now so I doubt I'd bother to go out of my way to make a visit unless I hear of some positive changes.

Oh well. It was good while it lasted.

Super nice joint, but not my style.

    Too sterile for me.

I don't know if it has gotten disappointing, when I was there last month, I tried to hit the lunch buffet on a sunday and the line was way too long, and I was back on tuesday and same thing.

I was there last month, I loved the room, the gaming area was, to me, a bit small. They had the games that I wanted to play but I just thought it was a little small. The CWs were Amzing..day and night. I wasnt over excited about the buffett, the free wine n beer got us there but they didnt offer a lot of choices on beer, and the wine wasnt great. But, it was included so thats a plus. LOVED Hash House! Took the shuttle back from the strip, they didnt ask for a room key or anything. I did take a cab to Sams, that was $61, then Silverton and South Point, each around $20. The staff, besides one bad craps dealer, were so nice! Id say you have to check it out!
