Me and the wife are visiting in a couple of weeks. Stopping in the Luxor.

Can anyone recommend any nice bars (not too busy, not too loud, plenty of seating etc) near the Luxor we can see out the night?

Not into clubbing etc these days so will be giving LAX a miss!

    Any suggestions are appreciated. Cheers

If you like vodka, I would take Red Square at Mandalay Bay over Minus 5 ten times out of ten. Minus 5 is a novelty, but not really a place to hang out and have a drink; Red Square is a real bar, with an amazing vodka selection and an ice bartop. I'd also highly recommend the Foundation Room, also at Mandalay Bay (enter by the guest elevators), which is much more lounge-y, with a great room and absolutely phenomenal views. They occasionally try to charge a cover, but I've never actually paid it, and there are also often people walking around the Mandalay Bay and Mandalay Place area giving out 2-for-1 drink coupons.

It isn't a trek to walk from Luxor casino floor to Mandalay Bay casino floor - simply take the escalators (near Tender Steakhouse) and walk through the small shopping area, go down the escalator at the other end of the shops and you're on the MB casino floor. Take a right turn next to Evening Call, and walk past the MJ theatre (on your right) and MB Sportsbook (on your left) and proceed under the sign "THEhotel". The host desk for Mix is maybe 20 feet beyond the theatre. The walk from Luxor takes maybe 5 minutes.

There is also an Irish pub (RiRa) located in the shopping area.

Oh yes.. I was getting it mixed up with another place further up the strip.

You can tell i'm a first timer!

What's the crack with getting in The Mix? Do you need to make a booking? There's only 2 of us.

    Thanks for any help.
