I took the Harrah's LV Hotel survey, asking me to compare Harrah's hotels to ther Strip hotels. Most Harrah's casinos are sort of in the same lump of casinos as MGM bottom tier casinos. The survey would have been more fun, and more accurate, if they asked to create a Las Vegas Strip Monopoly Board.

Below is my take on the Las Vegas Strip Monopoly Board, grouping like properties grouping them by area, when possible:

    Go - McCarran Airport
    Mediterranean Avenue - The Quad
    Community Chest - Olympic Garden
    Baltic Avenue - Casino Royale
    Income Tax - W-2G Issued for $0.25 RSF - Pay $200
    Reading Railroad - Riviera
    Oriental Avenue - Circus Circus
    Chance ? - SLS
    Vermont Avenue - Stratosphere
    Connecticut Avenue - LVH

In Jail - Hooters Hotel & Casino
    Saint Charles Place - Harrah's
    Electric Company - Flamingo
    States Avenue - Bally's
    Virginia Avenue - Paris
    Pennsylvania Railroad - Excalibur
Saint James Place - Monte Carlo
    Community Chest - Sapphire
    Tennessee Avenue - Luxor
New York Avenue - New York New York

Free Parking - Hard Rock Casino
    Kentucky Avenue - Palms
    Chance ? - Fontainebleau
    Indiana Avenue - Planet Hollywood
    Illinois Avenue - Treasure Island
B&O Railroad Railroad - The Mirage
    Atlantic Avenue - Mandalay Bay
    Ventnor Avenue - Caesars Palace
    Water Works - MGM Grand
    Marvin Gardens - Palazzo

LVPD - Go To Hooters Hotel & Casino
    Pacific Avenue - Venetian
    North Carolina Avenue - Aria
    Community Chest - Spearmint Rhino
    Pennsylvania Avenue - Bellagio
    Short Line - Cosmopolitan
    Chance ? - Echelon
    Park Place - Encore
Luxury Tax - Resort Fee - Pay $75
    Boardwalk - Wynn

Funny is that I have an actual Vegas Monopoly game that I got maybe 8-10 years back IIRC. The hotels where Boardwalk and Park place were would now probably only be halfway around the board. I'll have to dig it out one of these days.

i really like your assessments, but i do have one question...since the palazzo and venetian are basically the same hotel, which shares so much, why do you have them in two different categories?

They are together, just with a cop standing where Walgreens currently stands. Some groupings go beyond their color group.

My board looks a lot different than my 1991 first trip board. The Mirage and Caesars Palace are the only two properties in the final 20 spaces which existed 22 years ago.
