    Have another Monte Carlo question.

Anybody with experience with Bacc in the HL room at Monte Carlo?
Is it a full table or mini?
They let you touch the cards?
    How many tables?
    Crowded?

Do they have their own bar in the HL room?
If I don't get to peel the cards, I'll probably go to Aria.
Does it suck and should I just walk over to Aria for it?

They do have their own bar, but it's often not staffed because most of the time nobody is in the high limit room.

I don't think they have baccarat at all in there...I've never seen it.

I've played there a year ago. I'm pretty sure there is a bar inside and usually not very crowded at all. I don't think you can touch the cards.

No one likes to play bacc there. The reason is that they don't offer unlimited free hands. They don't even allow playing both sides to move the shoe. This applies to both high and low limit bacc. That is why the bac folks avoid this place.

You are much better off at the Aria and the nearby Bellagio for baccarat.

They have 1 midi table there. And yes, it is a hand held game. The table is usually empty but there is always a dealer staffed in case someone decides to play. I've played there once and for the most part, the dealers and bosses are friendly. There was one time where another player and I were a bit noisy from a fantastic run we were having and we were told to quiet down. I wasn't too happy about that as I couldn't help to feel he was trying to cool down our streak. And there were no other players in there that we could potentially be disturbing. I'm not sure about everyone else but I usually love hearing people cheering, laughing, high-fiving each other when winning. It adds to the atmosphere and certainly gets more people gambling than seeing people looking at the ground, kicking the chairs and looking like they lost their kid's college savings.

Yeah, not sure why they would quiet you down. When I go to NYNY and play bac in the high limit room there, I'm the only one playing and they let me do just about anything I want. One of the reasons I love NYNY.

I want bac where i can touch the cards and peel it when i look. I also want to have a few free hands. So this is not possible at neither monte carlo and nyny?

Then i would have to go to the Aria's HL room for that?

I want to definitely peel the cards. makes it much more fun for me.

When you say you want to peel the cards, any hand held game allows this. Monte Carlo Baccarat in the HL room is hand-held so you are good for this. Feel free to bend, wrinkle, or fold the cards. The only thing that any casino doesn't like is if you rip the cards. This is generally frowned upon unless you are betting big.

As far as free hands are concerned, if the casino you are in doesn't allow them, ask if they'll allow a small bet on the tie line to get the free hands.

Why do they care about ripping the cards?

NYNY allows free hands, and you can do anything to the cards. This is playing in the high limit room. They only have one table though, and you have to request it be open.

I was never told why they don't like this but I am guessing that if you rip the cards into two or more pieces, it makes it tough later for the sorters to check and match all the cards after the deck is done. I know casinos do this to ensure no cheating had occurred where players either added, removed or switched a card during play. Just a guess. Although I've seen only several occasions where bosses tell players not to rip the cards, I've seen a guy at the Bellagio betting 300k per hand shred them up like a lawnmower on losing hands and no one said a thing to him!

MC has 1 baccarat table in the HL room. Yes, you can touch the cards. However, generally no one is playing. Walk over to Aria. It is much better.

yep, it's all about who you are. they have to rubber band up the cards at the end of the shoe and store the entire deck for a certain amount of time for the gaming commission audits. if there are pieces missing, the gaming commission can come in and fine them or require that they give back losses to the players because there's no way to prove that the deck was whole when the game was played. if the cards are torn it makes life really difficult to keep everything together and make sure they're all there. sometimes they'll tape the card back together to make it easier, but if you do it a lot, they don't like that.

but if you're a known player and you lose a big bet, they won't say anything. there is a guy I've played with several times at the B that averages about 5k and he likes to tear out the middle of the cards to look for dots. the pit bosses all know he does it and just let it slide. they just stuff the little torn pieces in between cards when they stack them up to rubber band them.

Very interesting. I've always thought they sorted the cards afterwards to ensure the PLAYERS didn't cheat but now I'm hearing that it's so the NGC can check if the CASINO cheated the players, lol.

The monte carlo only has one bacc table and it's the midi-style table that seats 9 or 10 players max. My fav is the full figure 8 tables where they have two dealers on each side. I've only played on these tables available at Bellagio, Mandalay Bay and Caesar's. Now the last time I was in Vegas was two years ago so no idea if this has changed. But the best game of all is the one where the players are allowed to deal the cards from the shoe. What I still can't figure out though is why that particular game requires the player to look at the PLAYER cards first, regardless of which side you bet on. I asked the dealers about it and all they said was it's just the way this style of bacc is played. Any insight?
