Has anyone seen video baccarat in Vegas? They did have a machine with 8 seats in the Bellagio a few years ago but now replaced by video roulette.

I went to the Resorts World Casino in Queens NY and they have like 5 or 6 sets of machines with 50 seats each. It's a great setup since you don't have to play with dealers or annoying pit bosses. I heard only NY and Macau had these types of machines. It would be great if Vegas casinos would start using them!!!

We were there in April and I can remember seeing it at: Monte Carlo, NYNY, Excalibur and MGM Grand. And I think Mirage and Aria had it as well.

The one I remember seeing was Golden Baccarat by IGT.

Singapore has them as well both versions. The total digital version and the semi-digital version. I prefer the semi-digital version where there is one actual human dealer and you have the wagering terminals that you see at Resorts World NYC. I really don't trust those digital machines at the NYC casino btw. You have to be careful with the small print on the bottom of the screen that states that when there are technical difficulties your wins are erased and does not count. Not just the previous winning bet but all the winning bets that you made previously on that machine before it went bust. Happened to me once and lost $125 in winnings and I had to raise hell and the casino would not give me my winnings. Plus also I won some $460 full of twenties and I also had ten twenty dollar bills with me so I fed my terminal until I hit $600 and printed out the ticket so I can head to the cashier to get hundred dollar bills. And guess what they had me as a money launderer. What full of crock.

Because of that I am sticking with actual dealers. Really like the fact that I can sit there for hours and not bet but Resorts World NYC is such BS. Yet if you love baccarat, it is baccarat heaven. If you do head to Resorts World NYC make sure to stick to Organic Baccarat or IGT. Organic Baccarat from Interbloc uses actual decks but the results are continuous and doesn't stop when the shoe ends and keeps on going. So the format is not reliable. IGT uses a digital deck and has the best layout and betting set up but be careful and pay attention since you can see the total of the bets for Banker and Player. If you see one side is at $1200 and the other side only has $120 for example, who do you think the machine is going to allow to win? You have a 20 second time frame so either cancel your bet or immediate switch your bet to the other side with the lesser wager. The other two from ShuttleMaster stay far away from. They use a RNG shuffle and continuous. A sure loser if you plan to play.

I don't think the baccarat machines are fixed at Resorts World. They have like 50 terminals linked to one screen so the bets on each side are pretty large. I would be more worried if these were single machines with only one player. Anyway, I hope Vegas expands the number of baccarat machines like they have done with roulette.

I wouldn't worry much about the baccarat machines with an actual deck which is the Organic from Interbloc. It is the IGT bac games that I am concerned about since that is a digital deck. And when things are digital anything can happen behind the scenes. I used to play some four to once 12 hours at those IGT machines three or four days a week and experienced some really interesting moments that were not in my favor. Something I don't face much as I am at an actual table with a real dealer. That was from October 2011 when it first opened to around June 2012. It maybe it is because of variance but things are just somewhat suspicious. If I play there again my bets would not be over $20 with a bankroll of not over $350. Good place to practice but I wouldn't make that place a go to destination unless real dealer tables are introduced which is gosh knows when given these idiots running NY State.

I agree that digital is fishy. I used to play poker online and saw much more fishy stuff in just a little while than I ever saw at a real table in all my life. and I've played 100x as much live poker as I ever played online. so I don't really trust any digital gambling machine.

Online poker isn't regulated. Digital machines in domestic casinos are. If you trust the NGC to regulate properly that is -- I do. But I can't speak for the regulators of the casino in question in the OP's post in NY.

I don't trust any online gambling whasoever. I have no experience either good or bad with, I just don't trust it. Last trip I had quite a few drinks in me sat at an electronic BJ table for a minute. It had a real dealer but I can't remember if it had no chips and you just electronically placed your bets or if your cards were dealt electronically or what it was. I do know it sucked ass though and I was there for maybe two hands. At least I learned that if it doesn't have a real dealer, real chips, and real cards, it isn't for me.

I've played the single player Bally roulette machines in Vegas and other casinos and I don't really trust them. Too many negative outcomes on these machines or it could just be the luck of roulette. However, I've done better on the multiplayer machines where 10 people sit around one screen.

"It's the repetative negative varience that shows itself way to often. It's like a coin flip coming up heads 90 out of 100 times when you bet tails. It can happen, but shouldn't 90% of all times.

If you really believe this why don't you just sit at that machine all day and keep betting on whatever side is lower?

You have no control of time and speed of the game. There is a 20 second time frame between bets to make sure everyone gets their bets in. This could be beneficial and both a killer. If you put in a bet within five seconds say on Player. That means you have 15 seconds left before the next bet. Then within three seconds left then suddenly a huge bet is placed on Player. By the time you want to cancel your bet or switch to the other side time is up.

there's no way the device senses how much is bet on each side and influences which side wins. the gaming commission keeps watch over all electronic gaming devices and makes sure they are fair. a casino would lose their gaming license in a heartbeat if foul play was found out and it's not worth it to them. they already have a legal racket in that the games are always stacked in their favor with the HA and they can make enough just on that without having to cheat.

what I don't like is what earth-3 described as the repetitive negative variance that comes up all the time. it just seems that the electronic decks have weird stuff all the time whereas you hardly ever see that kind of stuff happen on physical cards.

I don't get it. If there was a repetitive negative variance then to someone else it could very well be a repetitive positive variance. If this were even remotely visible in the game you would be able to clean house. The display at the bottom seemed to mimic the real tables pretty well. Sometimes they were choppy and sometimes I would see nice streaks that I would try and take advantage of just like the real tables.

The last one I played was at the Venetian last month and the Banker had 3 full lines in a row, so about 15 winners with a few ties mixed in. The person I was with and I cleaned up but the guy next to me fought it the whole way and before he left he looked over to me and said that these games are fixed and was going to play at a real table. To me it was the type of board I dream about at a real table and to him it was the computer cheating him.:)
