Someone may have already posted on this but, on our most recent stay, the paytables for bar top $1 Bonus Poker at Book & Stage had been downgraded from 7/5 to 6/5. While they did add some progressive machines, I recall seeing the same pay table for the non-progressive machines. :nono: I am assuming that the other $1 games have been downgraded as well but I didn't check.

Needless to say, I didn't give them any $1 action this trip and I'll be sticking to $0.25 when I can't resist the urge to play (and drink) at Cosmo in the future. My $1 game on strip will have to go elsewhere.

This frustrates me to no end. The problem is that the people in charge don't seem to recognize that the casino's poor results aren't coming from a hold that's too low, but rather from the perception among any even remotely-serious gamblers that the Cosmopolitan is not a place that values their business.

Yes I can confirm 6/5 for even $5 bonus deluxe. Its utter insanity. Will still stay at Cosmo while comps last but will stick to minor roulette, craps, and quarter progressives on the floor.

I love the vibe and the rooms, but the major dollar VP play is gonna have to go elsewhere.

Yeah, the vibe is good, the rooms are fantastic, and the drinks they comp at the VP bars are amazing. I was willing to accept a less than ideal paytable to have a few drinks there and take in the atmosphere, but at 6/5 bp, I'm not sure I will play there any more.

The places that offer such crappy pay tables amaze me. It's like there is a sign that says, "Hi sucker. Take a seat. We hate you."

Cosmopolitan is owned by bankers -- when's the last time Wall Street offered anyone a fair shake?

Just a quick update. Looks like Bond still has 7/5 $1 Bonus Poker and 8/5 $1 JoB.

Well ... that's how they pay for those billion $$ properties on the Strip.

Long live the off-Strip and downtown, and full-pay VP.
