We are coming to Vegas in April and haven't been there for many years. Last time we stayed at the Flamingo and enjoyed playing pai gow poker at the Barbary Coast, which become Bill's, and is currently closed.

This time we are staying at the MGM and wanted to know if there are still $5 or $10 pai gow tables around. I don't find much information on it on this board and was wondering if it is still in the casinos. It is a fun game to make your money last and moves slow so you don't have to think too fast. Besides that, you don't get yelled at by the other players if you make a mistake.

    Any info would be great.

If you are coming on a weekend, $5 tables will likely be non-existent on the strip (they largely are during the week as well). They'll probably be a few $10 tables and more $15 and $25 tables.

If you want to stay small stakes and easily find a seat at a table, venture down Tropicana a bit to the Orleans. It's an inexpensive cab ride (or a free shuttle from Ballys) and a great place to play Pai Gow.

I also love Pai gow poker myself and played quite a bit last September on visit. What I remember:

MGM Grand early daytime $10 min by 1 or 2pm, it was 15, by 6ish was 25
Hooters, just across the street, $5 during day, $10 in evening, interesting no commission variation, pm me for details
Flamingo, the Margaritaville casino- $10 evening
NYNY- no Pai gow at all or at least I couldn't find it. For sure, I walked and walked around the pleasure pit many times looking for it. :D

Thanks for all the info. Now I know where to go to look for it. I guess I should have figured out that the $5 tables were a thing of the past. :)

NYNY definitely has Pai Gow Poker. Two tables in the Blackjack pit. Usually one $10 table and one $25.

I played $10 Pai Gow Poker in the Bellagio when it was slow, lol. Kind pitboss lowered the minimum for us so me and my friends could play.

Plenty of $5 Pai Gow if you don't mind going off strip. Boulder Station has $5 24/7, same with Aliante... Some of the "off strip" joints think they're on the Strip....I believe the cheapest table at Gold Coast 8AM midweek was $25 minimum...seriously guys?

Last week, Gold Coast had $10 minimums both day and evening. Saw $5 minimum on a Tuesday afternoon at Southpoint.
