Bringing cooler into Ballys pool

Has anyone been successful in bringing your own cooler into Ballys pool area? Thanks!

 

I dont think you would get away with that. The staff is the most relaxed pool staff I have saw in LV, but they would not let that slide.

 

Yeah you are probably right. I have seen it done at mirage and Luxor and even did it myself a time or two but Ballys is so less crowded I'm sure it would be seen much more easily.

 

You may get it in, but the cocktail girls would probably spot you.

 

That is just wrong. Maybe slipping a couple of brews in, but this is not a state park - it is a casino/hotel/resort.

I wasn't talking about a large rolling cooler, but a small soft sided one for just that, a couple of beers and a couple of water bottles.

 

Rules are really just made for people who like to follow rules.

Just set your own course and see how it goes.

Ignore all signs, especially the ones with posted rules.

I have to be frank here when I tell you that once you start doing this, life will become much easier and more relaxed.

 

Dude... wow... just wow... sadly though, you're not the only one... not by a long shot.

 

I brought a bottle of water from the spa to the pool one day. Other days I bought a water at the little store on the way out to the pool. The same place they sell the pool noodles. Which I also bought, best $4 I ever spent. It wasn't expensive enough that I figured I needed to sneak beverages in. And I'm not above carrying a small bottle of liquor in my purse. So, no judgement here. I just don't see the value in it. You're welcome to give it a shot and tell us how it went.

 

A bottle or two in your "beach bag" is not a big deal. A full cooler of course is a different issue.

 

Honestly, I don't think you would have any problem with it. I stayed at Bally's 4 times last year. I saw more than just a few people bringing in outside food and drinks to the pool area. My daughter took a brand of beer not sold at the pool bar and drank it in the pool in plain sight of the staff. Nobody said anything to her. Just don't bring anything in glass containers.

 

For the 4 separate trips to Ballys during the pool season I never had a problem bringing in a cooler. It is a 12 pack cooler mostly filled with water or soda and I put it in our beach bag. A small cooler of any kind will not get questioned but anything larger may get inspected. I have seen many people including one group (over 40's) last year drinking plenty of beer not once ordering from a server. In my opinion Ballys goes easy on the cooler and outside drink rules, unlike Flamingo.

What about bringing a few beers into Harrah's pool?
