We are going to the Cirque show, "O" at 10:00 and are planning to have dinner at Mon Ami Gabi beforehand. What time would you recommend making dinner reservations for?

That probably depends on how many courses you like to have any how relaxed of a meal you like to have. I would say 730 or 8, depending on your preferences. If you're planning on doing every course, plus wine and after-dinner drinks, maybe do 7; I think that would be overkill, because I can't imagine dinner taking more than 2 hours, but I always run late in Vegas, so I would probably show up at 7:15 for a 7 reservation :evillaugh The good thing is, you won't have to walk too far to get to O from there. You'll really enjoy Mon Ami Gabi, I think. I haven't had a bad meal there.

I would also say 730 or 8, but that's me. Like seviay said, it just depends on how many courses you want and how early you'd like to show up at O. Some people like to relax a bit and have drinks before the show. You should enjoy dinner, it's one of my favorite places to eat. But remember in Vegas they don't let you make a reservation for the outside patio. The patio is first come first serve. If you have a reservation and there is space on the patio they'll seat you there, but at 730 or 8 there won't be free space out there I'd guess.

I would actually be closer to 7. Would rather be relaxing and not have to worry about time or rush the meal if the service is extra slow. Plus, if you get done in time, stay for an extra cocktail or after dinner drink. Their coffees are amazing as well which would be good after a big dinner and going to a show after.

Thank you for your responses. We will probably have soup, entree and dessert. I know that I have read that you should arrive at "O" an hour early, so I wasn't sure how much time to give ourselves. My current reservation is for 7:30, but I may change it to 7:00. If we are done early, we can just walk around the hotels.

I would go 7 to be safe too... I've seen Mon Ami Gabi running very slowly at dinner time... as they get quite busy and do prepare the food very well.

IN NYC, where I live, restaurants in the Theater District ask if you are seeing a Broadway show when you make the reservation - that way they know what time they have to get you out in order to make the performance.

You should let the reservationist at Mon Ami Gabi know when you make the reservation that you have tickets to "O" and let them tell you what the best time would be so that you can enjoy your meal and not be rushed trying to get to the theater.

Just so you know, the best seats at Mon Ami Gabi (on the patio) can't be reserved. If you want patio seating you should show up at least an hour ahead of when you want to be seated (for dinner) and plan to hang out in the casino or the bar unil a table is ready.

As stated if ya call for reservations state upfront on your show plans and follow their advice. That said 7 pm if going soup to nuts 730 or so a regular meal.

Just as a follow-up, if the weather permits, the patio is a great choice. Great view of the fountains -- and great people watching of course. I think I prefer inside just to avoid screaming drunk people and cigarette smoke, but that's a personal choice.

I can't see any reason you would need to be an hour early for O, by the way. If you're going to have some cocktails before the show, that would be fine, but otherwise you'll just be sitting/standing around.

Another vote for 7. I like a leisurely dinner.
