Heading out to Vegas for my birthday in 3 weeks!!! I was going to stay at PH fully comp'd. I have stayed there before and really wanted to stay somewhere else. All of a sudden Caesars has no rooms available except in the Roman Tower at this rate:

    SUN 03/03/2013 $52.00
    MON 03/04/2013 $117.60
    TUE 03/05/2013 COMP

I'm just curious, those rated were almost 200/night just a couple of weeks ago, any ideas on why they changed to include a comp? I booked it.

2nd, has anyone here had a recent experience with the Roman Tower Rooms? I know they are outdated but I guess I won't be in there long enough, right?? lol Is the internet wired/wireless and is it pretty good? I may need to use my laptop for some business.

3rd, I'm arriving on a Sunday to LAS at 5pm. I am thinking of changing my flight to get in before 11am. Are chances good I can get early check-in?

My comps for Caesar's Palace recently changed too and am staying three comped nights from 3/5-3/8. What's funny is that two of the nights I am only comped at Caesar's and the Quad. So their comp system uses some crazy logic to get to that. I am also in a Roman tower room.

I had full comps at the Augustus and Octavius tower showing before and now I can not get any comps at Caesars

Even if your personal value to CET stays the same, the rate per night will move around often. All depends on how their bookings are at any given time.

Early checkin is always a crap shoot. I would say that Sunday mornings, early afternoon are less than optimum. After all, they tend to be closer to full on Saturday nights, so rooms are slow to come back available.

    But, you could get lucky.

    Thanks!

Looking forward to it. I've wanted to stay at Caesar's since my first trip many years ago.

I think I'll concentrate my gambling there and see what comes up later in comps.

I haven't stayed in Roman tower, but its the one that gets complaints. Hasn't been renovated in ages. I doubt a room in that tower would be as nice as PH.

When I've tried getting early checkin at Caesars without paying I had no luck. I went when there was almost no line and on a wednesday and they still would not do it without a charge.

I would have to agree with nevyn. Roman tower is the one tower Caesars could not even get me to stay for free in. I suggest trying the 20 dollar sandwich at checking to at least be upgraded to the forum tower.

thank you for the posts. I had read about the Roman tower being a " uuuuuum, NO!" in past threads and it is good to see another opinion. I am looking at Sunday, May 19 and the only rooms i could find are close to 400 dollars a night for roman tower and i just can't pay that much for a room on a Sunday night. Other areas in the hotel are even more...Too much is just too much sometimes. Good idea to concentrate your play there for future offers!!

Take the comp room at PH.
For some reason Ceasars always prices rooms way over market value.
I guess they can because of the TR system and they look at it as their flagship.
It is one of my least favorite Las Vegas properties and I have stayed at evey hotel from Center Strip to MBay except for IP, and Casino Royale.
