There are three of us going to LV. Staying at Ballys for 4 nights comped. We have a room with two queens. We want a rollaway bed brought to room. I called and they want $30/day for the rollaway. Do you think the $20 trick at checkin will get us a free rollaway? Other ideas?

Doubt the $20 trick will work.

I have had a rollaway a few times and after being quoted $30 when booking,I have waited until getting to the room, then called housekeeping for a rollaway and so far not been charged

    havent been to ballys though

For those who have used the rollaway beds how comfortable/uncomfortable are they? Reservation at Flamingo coming up and my son has 3 guys staying in one room, one will get the rollaway.

Dont get it in advance. Call housekeeping and ask for one once you are there. Sometimes they will add it to your bill, sometimes they won't.

If you're possibly paying $30 for a rollaway, why not book a second room with adjoining doors and then you get 2 bathrooms as well. Just did a quick check and rooms are listed at $39 for the night but if you are being comped, you may even get a better rate for a second room. Just a thought.

With rooms being so cheap... to me, I would do this. Three guys blowing out one bathroom... well....

Superbowl weekend and no more comps available. An additional room about $120 a night. Especially weekend. I also heard they charge extra to get adjoining rooms.
Looks like the floor for someone or housekeeping for rollaway.

Floor seems a bit extreme. These are queen sized beds.

Guy who got the comp gets the bed to himself. Other two share if they aren't willing to pay for a rollaway. If they are really worried they can always use a buffer pillow.

    Two other ideas:

    1) You could buy an air mattress back and take it with you. A single sized one should be in the $7-10 range and you use the hair dryer in the hotel room to inflate it each night.

    2) You could sleep two to a bed.

Since extra rooms are that expensive, just ask for the rollaway after you get there. Sounds like best option.

Haven't done so in Bally's, but had a rollaway brought to my comped room in Flamingo (and my paid room in Cosmo though less relevant), and wasn't charged either time.

As to how comfortable it was, if you are three guys in one room for Superbowl, and you feel the bed before passing out at night, you are doing it wrong.

Did you ask for the rollaway at checkin or through housekeeping after you got to the room?

I suggested in post 2 to ask housekeeping after you have got to the room, that way you may not be charged (you still might be of course) and it was also confirmed by another poster.

If i were you i would stop worrying about the rollaway, worst case is it is going to cost you $30 a night....small change in the grand scheme of things
