According to "historical averages", your dates average a daily high of about 66, and a daily low of about 46. However, it's very possible to hit the 70's.

Many of our trips the last 5-8 yrs have been in February and I think we've seen it all. We're preparing for a trip this year (Feb 9-16) and still don't know what we'll be packing, other than generally - layers work best! We've had snow, rain, wind, warmth......My standard rule of packing is to make sure I bring one "flexible" piece of clothing in case the weather is totally the opposite of what it should be - short skirt in winter, long pants in summer, etc....

I just check the extended forecast before I finalize my packing - this will be a work trip and what I wear to the trade show likely won't change - but what coat I bring could differ, and maybe 1 pr of shoes.....

Any tips you get today could be terribly bad.

Check weather.com a few days before you go. Then check again the night before and adjust your packing.

    That is my tip.

I go nearly every February. The temps during the day are typically 60's and sun. The sun sets at 6pm and the desert cools quickly!! I have never needed shorts yet, the best it has gotten for me during the day is short sleeves and jeans.

Two years ago I woke up to a weather alert on my phone, HIGH WINDS, 60 mph winds is no joke. I was glad I had a Northface jacket that day!! I never go without now!

I have been to LV 18 times and most were in february, usually the last week. As mentioned the temps generally ranged from 65-70. Now, being from New Hampshire, that's like a week of summer in the middle of winter for me, but for someone from FL or California it's chilly. I wear a light jacket to the airport and then stuff it in my carryon, wearing a short sleeve shirt on the plane which is always a bit too warm for me. I pack a windbreaker and a baseball cap since it sometimes gets pretty chilly at night esp with that desert breeze. I pack all short sleeve shirts but 2 for 8 or 9 days. Always a 2nd comfy pair of shoes and a travel umbrella.

I usually shut the heat off in the hotel room and get an extra blanket. I remember the bus driver when i went to see the Hoover Dam. He moved from Baltimore to LV and said that the 1st two weeks of March were probably the best two weeks of the year weather wise. I tend to agree.

We have done early Feb trips quite a bit. It is usually comfortable during the day (50s - 60s, but occasionally 70s) but it gets cold at night. And if you add in any wind, it gets even colder.

I always pack in layers and have a light sweather for the daytime and a jacket at night.

Check the weather report for rain also.
Another thing that caused us problems was wind. We were delayed leaving Vegas for about 3 hours once due to a ground stop at McCarran (low visibility due to the wind). I have never seen a plane load up and take off so fast. Once they got clearance, they weren't taking any chances and got us out of there quickly. On the same trip, we were delayed arriving due to President Bush's visit (no air traffic allowed until Airforce One left). That was not fun sitting on the tarmac at LAX for 2 hours. But again, once we got clearance, we took off quickly. The pilot had been keeping us updated all along but when he got clearance to leave, all he said was "we are outta here" and we were gone, LOL.

I saw that President Obama will be there today. I sure hope he is out of there before we fly in tomorrow ;)
