This is my first time posting, although I am quite the lurker ::wave:

So my friends and I are going to be in Vegas Easter Weekend, and they are catching a red-eye Monday night while I have a 10pm flight on Tuesday. One friend may stay Tuesday (he works for an airline so can fly anytime) but I'm not sure he's officially coming. My goal was to get enough MyVegas points and get a comped room for Tuesday but in case that doesn't happen I need some ideas of what to do solo from like 10am-7pm?

We have an itinerary of things to do in and around the strip and more suggestions are welcome. I'm also staying at the Excalibur.

I'm not sure how I feel about sitting at a bar alone just drinking. I have no problem doing things alone, as most of the time I do, just feeling strange about dong vacation things solo. Sorry if I rambled on.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Will you have a rental car? If so, the possibilities are multiplied by about a million of the things you can do.

No rental car. I don't even have a license  the perks of living in a big city, and never really needing one.

While it wouldn't be comped, Hotel tonite app has great last minute deals. If u have smartphone, sign up n u get $25 credit for first hotel booked. I got flamingo for $40 -25, so only $15 for the day. might be worth that just to have a place to crash.

Ps. If you wanted to help me out, when u sign up, use my referral code, RCallender, and I would get another discount down the road :D

Sounds interesting, although isn't that part of the flight coming into the airport considering I have a window seat. LOL

I will definitely keep this in mind as the trip comes closer! I really want a hotel room to crash a bit before the flight and probably charge my phone. Although maybe I should just ask for late checkout for the extra $10 though that still only gets me to 3pm.

Whats your plans for the rest of the Vegas trip? If we know what type of activities you enjoy, it might help us in coming up with ideas for the extra day

Head downtown, it is a great time especially the first time. Plenty if nostalgia to see and you can usually grab a cheap room.

Hell, stay at El Cortez for a few hours and get a free limo ride to airport. That would pay for itself right there.

It seems a lot of the things I'm doing involve food choices, seriously. Haha. Then coordinating activities near the food places. This is my second trip to Vegas the first time was last year, and I spent a lot of the time off the strip doing activities. I missed doing a lot of the usual mid-strip activities.

So planned so far we have:
    Bellagio fountains
    Mirage Volcano
    flamingo wildlife habitat
    Pinball Museum
    Neon Boneyard tour
    Fremont Street at night

Places we are definitely hitting to eat:
    In and Out burger
    Dick's
    Either Caesars or Cosmo buffet
    Sugar Factory
    Hash house a go go
    Earl of Sandwich

Random things we plan fitting in:
    Pool time
    Hotel exploring mid-strip
    Gambling

I actually thought about taking the WAX downtown and maybe spending the day down there. El Cortez really gives you a free limo ride? That's pretty cool.

Hang out in a spa. (Or wear shorts if you'd like.)

I don't know anything about Excalibur's spa, but there's lots of nice ones on the strip. A day pass should be less than $50 pretty much anywhere.

What type of gambling are you into? Poker is a good, fun solo timekiller if you are into it, and if you play limit or tournaments doesn't have to be that pricey.

Ellis island is good for a nice, cheap solo meal.

Hanging out by the pool and/or going shopping would be a couple other easy ones.

I'm not a huge gambler. I do like slots (mostly for the glitz lol) I learned how to play roulette last year. I play on sitting down for more table demonstrations this time. Maybe craps, and poker?

I forgot to put Ellis Island, we are definitely going there too.

I thought about lounging by the pool but without a room, showering/changing might be an issue for me since I'm a lady.

I read there's outlets, so maybe I could head on and do that.

I've been to Excalibur's Spa. It's nice. Do you have any recommendations for other ones?

Qua at Caesar's is the only one I've been to. It's nice and gets good reviews. If I remember correctly it's $45 for spa access, but my wife and I got massages so I don't know for sure. I'll be there the weekend after next.

Thanks! Maybe a Combo Pool/Spa Day is a perfect to end my Vegas Vacation before heading back home. Lets see how much Sin City beats me up this time :nworthy: haha.

If not, I definitely want some options to play with.
